Palpitations

I have been suffering with palpitations for the past few weeks and am now waiting for the results of ecg and 24hr heart monitor results to,come back. Such weird feeling, just like a missed heart beat. All my blood tests came back ok, it just leaves me feeling very peculiar. Just wondered if any one else had experience of anything similar?

Just had the results of the ecg ultrasound, all was normal. Phew! Just need to get the results of the 24 hr monitor then I can relax. Such a relief.

Have you had covid or long covid? Sometimes this leaves the heart with strange rythms that don't show up on tests, so are ok, but still quite frightening aren't they ?

I believe sometimes stress can cause an irregular heart beat. I had my second heart op about a year ago. Initially I had some a fib but it had settled until I got a severe cold that went to my chest The a fib returned and has taken about six weeks to almost settle

Yeah! I just took a look at the date! I thought posts so old might be closed, but I should've looked more closely! Apologies, for raking up an ancient post, folks...I'll be more careful! smile
