There is a lot of hype and a lot of people claiming it cures all ills. Which it is not. Best known for its use as a wound dressing - anti bacterial. Manuka belongs to the tea-tree family.
No reason why something that is anti-bacterial will be good for your digestive system.
It is very expensive if it is the certified high-manuka-pollen kind. This is because it is tricky to produce - lugging bee hives up mountains to where the manuka is flowering.

but a friend suggested trying Manuka Honey to help soothe digestive system, I researched and have ordered some from comvita, but it was expensive !
