My knuckles have got thicker as I have got older (and to be honest, my fingers have probably got fatter along with the rest of me). However, although I do not necessarily expect to wear the rings I used to when I was in my 20's, I am horrified to find that since my "rugby tackle" fall in M&S 3 weeks ago, I cannot get any of my rings over the knuckles on my right hand . I hurt (staved?) my ring finger and had the sense to take off the ring I was wearing as I could see the finger starting to swell, but 3 weeks on it seems to be permanently thicker. Should I just bite the bullet and spend a lot of money on having rings enlarged? I dont want to wear them on my little finger as I am afraid they might get knocked and anyway it looks odd on my shape of hands. Or should I have my finger checked out?
