I got

National
Below average
You have a lower BMI than 85% of females aged 60-69 in your country Global
Below average
You have a lower BMI than 66% of females aged 60-69 in the world

Did you know?
If everyone in the world had the same BMI as you, it would remove 7,737,782 tonnes from the total weight of the world's population You're most like someone from Ghana*

Try it for yourself!

Oh dear it would appear that I'm the heaviest woman in the world which is odd considering I know women who are heavier than me but I'll fit in really well in Tonga grin

off it

Grannyknot Fri 23-Jan-15 15:51:16

That is fascinating. I am: National below average by 59% but I am above average for global (eek), I have a higher BMI than 62% of the females in my age group.

It thinks I am from Guyana!

Brunei [must look that country up!]

Lower BMI than 74% in this country - good

But my BMI is 25 - bad?
Last time I did my BMI about 2 years ago my BMI was 23. Even though I am a few pounds lighter than then. hmm

vampirequeen, I got Tonga the first time I tried but thought there was something wrong so did it again. I got a BMI of 25 the second time.

Madagascar

rosequartz Fri 23-Jan-15 17:33:19

But where does it all go to if you lose it? Does it get converted into energy therefore heat and contribute to global warming and climate change, in which case I should stay as I am? grin

rosequartz Fri 23-Jan-15 17:35:29

I am most like women from Australia so, as I am going there later this year, I should fit in just fine.

BMI 18

Lower than 99% of males aged 45-59 in the UK, and 92% of the world.

If everyone in the world had the same BMI, it would remove 65,100,039 tonnes from the total weight of the world's population You're most like someone from Bangladesh.

I also would fit in well in Tonga, but it doesn`t surprise me!

soontobe Fri 23-Jan-15 17:55:36

Those countries seem to be a bit in the wrong order?
I am supposed to be the next country to France confused

And Egypt is right near the top? confused

vegasmags Fri 23-Jan-15 17:57:48

I'm like people from Angola, apparently.

loopylou Fri 23-Jan-15 19:04:50

I'm like people in Senegal, sounds exotic so suits me!

Liz46 Fri 23-Jan-15 19:06:47

My dh poured scorn on my score of 25 and said he didn't believe me as he had seen my big bum! I did his but he knows I am not good with metres so he gave me his height in metres. I have been married to him for a long time so I should have known better. He cheated. I didn't know what to say when his BMI was less than mine but then he started giggling and said he wasn't really 8' tall.

Teetime Fri 23-Jan-15 19:31:43

I am more than 64% of women in UK which seems hard to believe when I see the evidence all around me and more than 80% of women globally. Am officially a hippo and will be hunted to extinction.grin

Teetime Fri 23-Jan-15 19:32:22

Oh and apparently I am from USA! Deep joy- thanks for that.

rosequartz Fri 23-Jan-15 19:32:52

I must tell my Australian family that I am an Aussie!

I always said if I was 5' 10' I would be so slim ...

JoyBloggs Fri 23-Jan-15 20:16:59

Thanks, MrsPickle, fascinating!

Apparently I would feel very at home now in Gabon confused whereas before Christmas I was more of a Djibouti sort of person... Hmm! grin

hildajenniJ Fri 23-Jan-15 20:20:08

I am most like someone from Malaysia and have a lower BMI than 77% of women worldwide. Well I am surprised. There I was thinking I was fat.grin Happy me!!!

I think it's a bit naughty to describe BMI as a measure of how obese you are, even with quotation marks around obese, as it presupposes that you are obese. I think you have to have a BMI of over 30, possibly even higher, to be technically obese. Having a very low BMI is also unhealthy.
