I took Bio-Strath Elixir after a really nasty virus infection and I thought it worked well. It is a yeast-based and herb extract and doesn't taste too awful.

I also take a multi- vit and mineral for the over 50s every day - will have to upgrade to the over 70s version next year. sad

I have today found that doing what the doctor told me to do in the first place is the winning course of action. hmm (#desperatemeasures). Take no notice of the Internet. Trust your doc.

I don't think there is a pick-me-up as such. Just getting back on proper food will do the trick.

Having said that, I have invested in a three month supply of multi vits and minerals for the over 50s.

Vitamin C and Zinc in a combined pill Falconbird. Not as interesting as a glass of wine, but according to my GP "well researched as a positive influence on the immune system". Apologies, I'm like a cracked record repeating this advice smile

I'm just recovering from the horrible virus discussed on another thread. I'm a veggie and more or less tee total but could be tempted to a wine of something. I think I need building up.
