Yes it was the one I started yesterday. Didn't tell me anything I didn't know either. I don't see how its going to appeal to the people they think it should and how they are going to calculate its impact.

I would just like to add, I have never actually seen Cari's legs. In case that sounded presumptious! blush

Back to the bike! smile

Grannyknot Tue 08-Mar-16 10:29:57

Oops I'm 66 (67 in July) ... and I still think of myself as "middle aged".

Anya Tue 08-Mar-16 10:24:01

Yes, that stumped me too monica as I don't eat cereals either and then the next section was on potatoes - which I only eat once in a blue moon!!

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 08-Mar-16 10:20:43

I've got to get off of here and get backside on exercise bike.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 08-Mar-16 10:19:54

Yes Cari. And we know why your legs are getting shorter by the day. hmm

How many miles is it at the moment? wink

M0nica Tue 08-Mar-16 10:15:15

I did it between gritted teeth just to see how irritating it was. It was very irritating

I HATED those little cheerful notes you got between sections, using my first name, especially when there was nothing they could hector you about
Congratulations Monica, you run a marathon every day, why not challenge yourself and run two?

I also found the food sections without a 'none of the above' option irritating. I had to claim I ate porridge just to get past the cereal section. In fact I do not eat any kind of cereal or porridge. I do not like them and I loathe milk.

I get stuck because, generally I have a healthy lifestyle but faced with a hectoring government and medical establishment my immediate reaction is to do the exact opposite but common sense and personal preference tells me I wouldn't enjoy it, especially the smoking, cigarette smoke gives me migraine.

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 08-Mar-16 10:00:14

I got 10/10 - prob because I am active, don't smoke and don't drink which hopefully makes up for the vast quantities of chocolate

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 08-Mar-16 09:53:19

It is aimed at the middle generation. Probably the ones who don't do the exercise classes, spinning sessions, body sculpting, weight training, etc etc that the better off ones do.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 08-Mar-16 09:49:12

True Anya. I'm glad my DD1 has dcided to give up here evening glass of wine. She already exercises till she (must be) dropping. hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 08-Mar-16 09:47:37

Oh, I couldn't finish that quiz. It was just too bloody stupid. I probably know more than they do about what I'm getting right and what I'm getting wrong. And why. (Yes sodding experts - there's always a 'why')

Toss off, the lot of 'em. hmm

Grrr.

Anya Tue 08-Mar-16 09:47:35

It's not aimed at us though is it? It's aimed at the 'middle aged' - my children I suppose. I'll be 70 on my next birthday and I put my fitness down to exercise, clean living and modesty.

Joking aside, I'm not agin it. If the majority of the 'middle-aged' continue as they are then there will be no NHS resources spare for us in our dotage.

annsixty Tue 08-Mar-16 09:45:00

Well I've done it but not enough choices and too rigid with no chance of explanation. Someone with, say arthritis, doesn't need telling they don't exercise enough, they would like the chance.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 08-Mar-16 09:34:58

Sorry. Didn't do any quiz there. Was really replying on the basis of what I've heard on the radio about this new campaign.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 08-Mar-16 09:33:18

Yeah.they spent all this time telling 'em how good red wine is for them. Changed their minds a bit on that one haven't they? But now so many middle class, better off women have got used to knocking it back quietly at home. hmm so..... Here we go again!

janeainsworth Tue 08-Mar-16 09:27:22

Just done it. Patronising or what?
I can't help feeling this is more for Big Brother's benefit a government survey than any benefit to individuals.
Was this the survey Teetime mentioned yesterday?

NanaandGrampy Tue 08-Mar-16 09:22:37

Yes the link worked Grannyknot

Hmmm interesting , it didn't tell me anything I didn't know .

One thing I did notice is if you're unfit or not doing enough exercise there's no place to say if its because your mobility is compromised .

If there had been and it had offered good options for improving that it might have been more helpful.

Grannyknot Tue 08-Mar-16 09:09:56

Did that link work? Can't really see on my Kindle. Here it is again in case not:
