Good to hear that you are improving Synonymous.

Synonymous Fri 25-Mar-16 11:20:51

Grannylyn I hope you are feeling much better today. I am getting there at long last but not regained even the normal (for me) energy as yet. Never mind, I think spring has sprung and with the clocks 'springing forward' on Sunday we will all start to feel better. smile

Luckygirl Fri 25-Mar-16 11:09:45

I hope that today finds you feeling a bit better grannylyn.

I see I missed out reading a page. Sorry...

Bellanonna Thu 24-Mar-16 22:29:13

Synonymous, that was so funny. Your description of hacking cough with gunk is what mine has turned into at the start of its 5th week. I'm glad of the gunk as the hard coughing was really wearing me out as was the not sleeping. I've had to cancel lots of things too. I dont seem to be getting the tummy problems thank goodness and to be honest I haven't had aches and pains and the other things people have had. It must be so hard living alone, or virtually, and coping with being so unwell. I've sucked my way through umpteen packets of halls soothers and blown into several boxes of tissues and really want to be myself again. I hope we all feel better soon and send fellow sufferers my very best wishes flowers

I love having red shoes - currently a pair of loafers - and have gloves to match. I wonder if that makes me a scarlet granny? wink

grannylyn65 Thu 24-Mar-16 16:58:55

Will phone GP again tomorrow if no improvement x

Strugglinabit Thu 24-Mar-16 15:52:14

When I had it, Synonymous, all I heard from DH was "I have managed to make myself a coffee," then later "What's for lunch," when I emerged from the bed covers... I wouldn't describe my reaction as being glad to have him around, or feeling blessed!

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 24-Mar-16 15:38:07

Grannylyn! Put that bl---- gun away!!! It's really not that bad! It willpass. shock grin

grannyqueenie Thu 24-Mar-16 15:22:22

It's a slippery slope grannyl, hope you feel better soon, we'll know you're having a relapse if you post that you're reduced to watching Jeremy Kyle! Get Well flowers flowers for you, it's horrible feeling so grim x

Badenkate Thu 24-Mar-16 14:08:59

grinblush?

Imperfect27 Thu 24-Mar-16 13:51:36

They must do! grin Maybe lace -ups make you even looser ha ha!

Badenkate Thu 24-Mar-16 13:47:50

I've never heard that before Imperfect. I have a pair of red lace-up shoes from Hotter - do these count?

moomin Thu 24-Mar-16 13:40:44

Get well soon grannyl ?

annodomini Thu 24-Mar-16 13:27:31

Loose Women! Rock bottom, Grannylyn. Surely things can only get better. xxxx

Imperfect27 Thu 24-Mar-16 13:08:48

Or Bertie Wooster - now that could get very confusing Badenkate. Synonymous flowers hope you are soon on the mend too.

Grannylyn, I wore red shoes out for the first time today - a good quality / nearly new pair I found in a charity shop. I couldn't get out of my head my mum's old saying ' Red shoes - no draws!' (a loose woman?) and felt somehow quite risqué ! smile

You are not missing much in the big world - Tesco car park full and cars queuing for the next space ... glad to scuttle home! Madness! Shops are only closed for one day!

pensionpat Thu 24-Mar-16 13:07:45

I'm working through House too. It's our second time around. There are so many episodes that we've forgotten them. We can keep doing that for ever!

Badenkate Thu 24-Mar-16 12:59:17

Thankful to say I've never watched that or anything else on at lunchtime. I'm working my way through the boxed set of House. I must admit it's a bit strange to watch Hugh Laurie in that with his American accent and the disregard for people's feelings, and then watch him in The Night Manager with that very English accent and the threatening presence. DH says it's a good job I'm not watching him as Prince George in Blackadder as well confused

grannylyn65 Thu 24-Mar-16 12:33:03

Am now reduced to watching Loose Women
There is no hope ?

Lona Thu 24-Mar-16 10:52:52

flowers Poor you grannylyn65 and synonymous I feel very lucky that I rarely get these bugs unless dgd gets them but it sounds horrible! Get well soon both of you!

Luckygirl Thu 24-Mar-16 10:49:17

It's not "defeat" - it's just good sense. There is a grim old bug doing the rounds and you need to take care of yourself. flowers

grannylyn65 Thu 24-Mar-16 10:39:33

Amen to that ?

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 24-Mar-16 10:18:45

That's awful Grannylyn. Keep warm and rested. Thank the Lord for good friends. flowers

grannylyn65 Thu 24-Mar-16 10:16:50

Well, thought would be better by now but not much change. Wracking cough and nose still streaming! How can one nose produce so much!
Friend came yesterday and changed bedding and took away to launder which is lovely.
Probably will miss my Easter weekend as not risking passing this on to anyone!

grannylyn65 Wed 23-Mar-16 18:00:01

don't make me laugh synom, not good on many levels!!
