I don't drink colas, nor do I often drink coffee but I do drink gallons of good old Yorkshire tea smile. I drink water at various times during the day but what do I replace the tea with that is non caffeine? I would be grateful for some help on this.

If you're aiming for caffeine-light, rather than caffeine-free, you could try Japanese green tea with roasted rice, sold as popcorn tea by Teapigs & now also Twinings, I think. Proper name is Genmaicha can also be found under that name online. It has a nutty flavour which I think is lovely - but admittedly not everyone would agree.

Why do you want to give up caffeinated tea Gracesgran? I also drink a lot of tea, about 7 - 8 cups a day. Tea has much less caffeine than coffee & your body gets used to it plus many studies show its quite healthy because of antioxidant properties. Decaf tea may have traces of residual chemicals used in decaf process, so I guess it's small amounts of caffeine or chemicals, or herbal. confused.

In answer to a question I asked on another thread and someone suggested "eat to beat arthritis" Lazigirl (I don't have arthritis but this covered the same area I was interested in). In the first chapter it suggests going decaffeinated. I have often thought I drink too much caffeine so thought it worth a try but am trying not to overdo anything - must give the medics something to go at. My son was saying about the positive effects of caffeinated yesterday when he phoned - so a bit of each at the moment I think.

Hello, Have a try of the redbush tea with vanilla, you can sometimes get the Ticktock make. If I can find it, I enjoy it more than ordinary redbush. With ordinary redbush, I only dip the teabag in, give it a swish and take it straight out and wouldn't dream of putting milk in it. I do find it much more refreshing than black tea with milk.
