Air or water dental flossers?

As advised by my dentist, I have used a waterjet flosser for some years now. They work very well for me, but I cannot find one that lasts for more than a few months without breaking down. I have tried various different makes, but they jam up or bits fall off. The latest one starts randomly buzzing in the middle of the night and needs a sharp thump to make it stop. I haven't tried an air flosser yet, but am reluctant to keep spending money on things that work for such a short time. Any advice or recommendations?

I use bottle brushes and then dental tape rather than the thinner floss and an alcohol-free mouthwash, purely to wash away the debris and leave a fresh taste in my mouth.

I see the hygienist as and when and she rarely needs to do much to my teeth, I also no longer have gum disease. I think I will stick to what I know works. I am very unhandy with gadgets, they fall apart in my hands or just stop (never to go again).

I've used water flossers since having implants a few years ago - wouldn't be without it. I've had 2 Waterpiks but both eventually failed to charge. I have one I bought in Lidl which was less than half the price and also another from Amazon - can't remember the makes but they're both equally as good.
