My eyebrows are falling out. One has just about disappeared. Had tests at GP just in case it is anything health wise.

Of all the things I thought might happen to me as I got older this is not one of them. Got lots of hair on my head!Is it just an age thing? Anyone else has this eyebrow problem and what did you do about it?

Under active thyroid makes you lose the outer third .

Thanks for your answers.

GP doing full set of blood tests. Under active thyroid being one of them. It is not just the outer third ii is general eyebrow loss.

Has anyone lost eyebrows through getting older?

Sorry to hear your eyebrows are falling out, but so glad you shared this problem because I was feeling like the only person in the world with disappearing eyebrows. Mine are totally threadbare with completely bald patches and I have to draw them in every morning.

My GP sent me for a blood test for testosterone levels. The result was normal. When I asked what could be the cause, the GP just shrugged. Guessing he doesn't think this is anything important!

The reason I came to this forum today was to look for advice about hair loss (not just the eyebrows). My rapidly thinning hair has now reached the stage where it is really noticeable and I dread going back to my GP - dont think a bald man is going to have any more sympathy than he did for the eyebrow problem.

I wish you luck and hope you will post here if you get a diagnosis and cure.

sad mine have become "old man " eyebrows , they used to be fine and nicely shaped and well defined , I never had to pluck them , now they are course and bushy and all over the place !! At least the specs hide them a bit ..........

Hello I've just posted on the other forum about this.
