Does anyone else have problems with seeing double? About 9 years ago, was watching TV and suddenly I could see two of everything on the screen. This didn't happen all time afterwards but when I was driving, there were 2 white lines in the centre of the road and the white lines near kerbs were also duplicated. Have had problems when getting new specs because it's become more difficult to get them right and it sometimes takes 2 months as the specs have to be sent back and re-done. Never given a reason why Prisms occur, so am interested if anyone can help, thank you. Also have Migraine without the headache, but the zig zag flashes will put this on another subject

I have been seeing double but this is due to cataracts which I hope to get removed soon.

I also get the Migraine without the headache. The zig zag flashes start small in the middle, gradually enlarging and then move off sideways. The whole thing lasts about 20 minutes.

I occasionally get prisms, very scary! Don't know why. I did read they were migraines without the headache so I try not to worry.

This happened to me a few days ago (the zig zaggy bright flashes as Liz describes, )and yes, I went and sat down and it only lasted 15/20mins.I had no idea what it was, has never happened before so this thread is amazingly timely for me!

I've had the zig zag things recently. I think they're harmless and I've been told they are a pain free migraine and if you had migraines in the past you are more inclined to get the zig zags. I just carry on as usual and they soon go.
