I used my fingernails to pinch one off my neck a couple of days ago because I found myself constantly fiddling with it. I can't remember when I got my first one, but now they're everywhere!

Yes tying cotton round the base works but looks a bit odd. Think it's more of a cosmetic thing than medical. A reputable beauty clinic will laser it off for you. Hate to say this but as I have got older they have proliferated especially on my neck. The joys of being a lady of a certain age.

I had a skin tag on my neck. Quite small but just added to the general deterioration of me. Being a Taurus, bull in a China shop type, I sorted it thus: Pinched it hard with my (clean) fingernails at its base. This seemed to restrict the blood flow to the tag, few days later it fell off leaving no mark or any ill effects. I would probably do the same again but on no account would suggest anyone tries it. Only saying.

phoenix I bought the liquid persevered for 3 weeks , 3 times a day, zilch
It had grown in that time!
Mine was under bra line and also one on inner thigh
Went to Dr and he burnt it off.
No pain just bit of burning flesh smell.
Pity the next patent.
There will be a few GNers who will explain how to use cotton if the tag is small.
if large don't use thread as can cause no stop bleeding.
Good luck.

Evening all,

I seem to have acquired a skin tag on the side of my neck, just sort of appeared a few weeks ago.

It's fairly small, no doubt others wouldn't even notice it, but it's really bugging me!

I seem to be unable to resist fiddling with it blush and even sort of picking/scratching at it blushblush

I am very tempted to "borrow" one of Mr P's disposable razors, slap some foam on and whip it off!

It's not big enough to tie a bit of thread round, and as it is not painful, I'm loath to take up surgery time at the docs.I've seen skin tag removing liquid advertised in some newspapers, but it's not particularly cheap.

Any thoughts?
