So glad you have had fantastic support Yorkshiregirl and well done you for all the positivity and pro-activeness. A dear friend has had parallel treatment to you and I know she has been tired and sore, but like you, she is marvellous though it!

Let us know how it goes for you today and keep drawing on the support you need xx

Best wishes to you Yorkshiregirl, don't try to lose too much weight, appetite may not be good when having treatment and you could end up losing weight anyway.
When I had my op they built me up with protein drinks before and had to continue for a month post-op.

You are not mad Yorkshire girl
You are an inspiration to us all.
Unfortunately there are not many families that manage to miss the 'big C'
If not family then we usually have a friend in a similar situation.
But I do feel that a positive outlook is just as important as the treatment itself.

One day at time, one small step on the road to recovery.

I hope with all my heart that your news is good Yorkshire girl
But what ever the outcome you will battle on with the help of family, friends and your positive outlook.

wine for this evening

I had sugery just over 3 weeks ago for breast cancer they removed a tumour from my breast and a lymph node from under my arm. It certainly was a shock not just to me but the whole family..more so as I lost my only sister to cancer 2 years ago, and my 1st hospital appointment was on the date she died !

Today I go back for my prognosis, and see if they managed to get all the cancer, if I need more surgery, chemo or just radiotherapy.

Anyway I felt terrible, and really frail for a while after surgery, but managed to look after myself and do housework, cooking etc. On week 2 I gave myself a kick up the backside, and got my makeup on and hair done...not bad considering 1 arm was pretty useless after surgery but I did my physio and its improving.

Last night I rejoined Slimmingworld with a view to lose the weight I had put on comfort eating. I still have more cancer treatment to face, but it wont help if I am overweight. I will be distraught today if the news isnt good !

I have had such fantastic support, and love from family and friends apart from 1 friend, who has not called or even texted to enquire of how I am needless to say I no longer need her in my life.
