Morethan2 It's a special EEG she needs following a sudden seizure she had. I think they're trying to put her under stress to try to provoke same again!
We're not worriers but no doubt will enjoy putting the world to rights

Not just you morethan, I wondered too.

Lots of caffeine - or is that banned / to be limited?

Spend time online - blue screen syndrome should help make your brain lively and not so prone to sleep.

Some TV channels have programmes that will wake you up - quiz shows / disaster shows smile

Let us know how you get on smile

Worry. It keeps me awake wink I'm probably a bit thick but I didn't understand what kind of appointment makes staying awake important?

Thanks Tanith. We play canasta, usually as a four but ok as two. Checked on local websites for what's on 24/7 and it's true only supermarkets or A&E! If dry suppose we could have a walk-we live in a v safe area, well lit and near lots of houses too.

Play a game of cards or scrabble. Sometimes there are late night cinema films on.

A friend has to have one of these soon-awaiting appointment and instructions.
As an insomniac I'm the perfect person to accompany her. So I'm trying to think of things we can do to stay awake-suppose you can virtually guarantee it will be one of the few nights when I could sleep well!
So far I've thought we could watch an exciting edge of seat film in the evening. Then our DHs can toddle off to the land of nod. Then I thought we could go to one of our local supermarkets that's open all night. Perhaps back home for a coffee if allowed then back to the other supermarket open. A passing thought was to go to hospital about 45 mins away and watch the shenanigans at A&E. Any other ideas? Especially from anyone who really knows what we're expected to do?
