How are you feeling? I don't understand what you had done, but it makes me feel a bit queasy!

So pleased you didn’t go for the mesh, your op sounds simple and relatively simple...brilliant. Hope you get better really speedily and enjoy your Christmas.

Hope you feel better soon. Takes a bit of time to get over this kind of operation but well worth it.

Janet21 So pleased to read you have had the procedure and you are home again,is the cough a result of the anesthetic .
Things will ease day by day make sure you have loads of rest.

Wow that’s a lot to have repaired all in one go, no wonder you feel a bit washed out. I’m interested as it was suggested earlier this year that I needed to have the very same done, but in 2 instalments. I’ve had a reprieve for now but know I will possibly need it done eventually. Hope your recovery goes well and the pain eases off soon.

Take it easy and let yourself recover slowly and steadily. Whatever you do, don't be tempted to do too much - let your family wait on you for a while. It takes a good while to feel really on top again after such surgery. Rest - that is an order!

It wasn’t the nicest procedure xx

I hope your recovery goes well. I had a similar op 2 years ago with hysterectomy and anterior and posterior repairs. The recovery period is quite long but the prolapse had been so uncomfortable that I immediately felt much better.

Hi grandmaMoira this is a personal question and I hope you don’t mind me asking did you leak after your operation I never did before xx

GrandmaMoira Wed 13-Dec-17 09:47:03

Janet - sorry for not replying - I've just seen your question. Yes I leaked and still do though not so badly. I was prescribed oestrogen cream by the consultant as she diagnosed vaginal atrophy as well as prolapse. Using this regularly helps a lot with incontinence but you can't take it the first few weeks after surgery.
Please fell free to pm me if you have any other questions.
