visco- supplementation.

Husband has a problematic knee, over many years, and our doctor has just referred him for this treatment.
Has anyone heard of it, or had it?
It seems to involve injection of hyaluronic acid into the joint.

Husband had this injection last Thursday and is pleased with the result - his knee is more mobile and less painful TG.
But the cost isn't covered by our health insurance, it's expensive, and even moreso in the UK (acc to the internet.)
A course of 3 injections is recommended. Plus topups.
