Wearable alarm for medication reminder

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
My mum was using the alarms on her fitbit to remind her to take her medication several times a day. It was perfect as it was discreet but also worked well. Unfortunately the fitbit broke, and as they don't make them anymore it was replaced with the charge 2 version.
The old fitbit vibrated but also made a buzzing noise. This one has a silent alarm so only vibrates and she often does not notice it and is late in taking her medication.
Wondered if anyone else uses something similar which works for them?

There are pill containers that can be programmed to buzz or light up - not sure where you find them.

If she has a smartphone or an iPad (or similar) there are free apps you can download to remind you to take medication. An alarm sounds and it buzzes. You can customise them quite easily. If she misses a dose it will keep reminding her.

Or you could set an alarm on her phone/iPad to sound, vibrate etc at the right times every day.

My OH has a watch which beeps when medications are due, and tells you which you should be taking - it is quite complicated to programme, but once you have done this, it works brilliantly. It will keep beeping on and off till you take the meds, when you then switch it off - or if you are my OH he switches it off straight away, which causes problems and a certain amount of marital strife! grin.
