Is red wine fermented? Does that count? Regular intake keeps me happy. ?

I'm with the people who don't like sauerkraut. We had Polish friends when I was young and every time we went they served us the dreadful stuff.

Having recently read Clever Guts by Michael Mosley I'm taking great care of my microbiome with great results . Weight loss without any effort , better sleeping and I have lost count of the number of people who have said how well I look , and they know nothing of my new regime .

It's probably rubbish and shouting out for some nurturing - I do like proper yogurt though.

DD is a fan of fermented foods but you can keep them as far as I'm concerned

I often feel like there's enough fermentation going on in my stomach. blush

I dread to think lizzy although I do try ( now and again) and I like Activia yoghurt.
What other foods are good? I don’t care for sauerkraut though.

Once I've carted the spade, fork, rake, wheelbarrow etc into the gut garden I'll be able to get started. I'll go easy on the weedkiller. grin

Its fine thank you but without resort to the sauerkraut which is the work of the devil.

Some recent food fads are rather extreme and cutting out whole food groups can be dangerous but it seems our gut flora are going to save us from every possible ill, are the seat of the immune system and are likened to a second brain, so are you looking after yours? You need to feed your personal gut garden on lots of fibre (prebiotics) and fermented foods (probiotics). I'm a convert and have embraced the fermentation craze. I make my own yoghurt and sauerkraut and it's really easy and fun and the result is delicious. Shop bought sauerkraut is usually pasteurised so the friendly lactobacilli are dead. How's your microbiome doing?
