I have had a lifetime of low BP.
I have been on 10mg of propranalol for a long time to prevent migraines. As some of you may know from my previous thread I went into AF mid-October and was put on bisoprolol. It made me very depressed, so GP said to stop it.
I have felt unwell since the AF bout - out of breath, cough at night etc.
Today I felt much worse and took my BP, thinking it would be low as usual, but the systolic was 178! I took half a propranalol in the end as it was persistently high and for a while it went down; but it is now up to 155 - so unusual for me.
I have made an appointment online with GP - but can't get one till next Monday.
Could someone with experience of high BP suggest whether I need to see someone sooner - it seems to be haywire and fluctuating about.
I didn't need this. OH with PD was a doc, but he is now no use in these situations.
