I have been looking after my granchild who is just over 1 year old now for 7 months and in all that time his nappies are awful they are yellow in colour and never solid. He has dirty nappies up to 5 times a day and his bottom gets so sore. Just today he has has 3 dirty nappies and he has only been here 3 hours. I have mentioned to his mum and dad that they need to see a doctor about it but neither of them are doing anything, i just dont think its normal and its causing him distress. What do you think?

DD1 got cream called metanium for bad nappy rash which helped clear it. Used it on both her children. Is baby still breast fed as nappies are looser and yellower and smell sweeter - DGS2 won't eat when he is unwell or teething and goes back to BF only so nappies also go back to that colour and consistency. He gets a sore bot when teething - got 4 now and bumps in gums!

Does the baby eat proper, solid food? He should be having real meals, surely? I'd put Sudocrem on his poor little bottom, and ask the parents what they're giving him to eat.
