I’m sorry merlotgran I’ve not been on here too much and missed this post too. So sorry, but know you are all being thought of at this sad time ?

Our darling girl died at 1.30 this morning. She refused to give in until there was no fight left in her We were all with her and it couldn't have been more peaceful. During the last few hours of her life all the pain and sorrow that was etched on her face disappeared and we were able to say goodbye to the beautiful young woman we want to remember.

I am posting this as an update rather than starting another thread under 'bereavement' as there is already a lot of sadness on Gransnet at the moment. Your kind messages of support have been a great comfort throughout the last two weeks. DD's pain might be over but I know ours is just beginning.

DH and I will help each other through it. We have two grieving young men to support so we have to focus on them.

Right now I just want to have a large G&T and cuddle my dogs!
