Just had an email from my cousin in Toronto, and apparently the latest health kick is Kombucha! It’s a fermented tea which has great health benefits! Have any gransnetters either tried it or made it themselves ? I am not a tea lover by the way!!!

Funny I was just reading the May/June edition of the Liz Earle Wellbeing magazine and there's an item on kombucha made in Wales! Google "Lewtress" because I don't want to be accused of advertising!

I should imagine it's the same as drinking kefir - gut health and all that. I do believe it is good to have healthy gut microbes.

My daughter makes her own. A friend gave her some starter. I’d rather have kefir although I reckon live yoghurt would do just as well.

We are 50 and my husband has been making Kombucha for many years. It has loads of health benefits and is easy to make at home. We bought a kombucha ‘scoby’ from Happykombuca online. We have found that we don’t get the usual common ailments such as colds and coughs and feel very healthy.
