Help/advice re cost of implants

My implants were completed this year . I had 4 and it cost £6,200.
I did have a free consultation then a preliminary assessment which cost £150. This was deducted from the cost of treatment.
It is cheaper if you go abroad but I decided that I wanted the ability to pop in if I had a problem.
I am delighted with mine and feel that I paid the market price.

Recommendations are vital as I've seen some implants looking like a witch-doctors necklace !

Thankyou all, looks like the cost quoted is around the going rate, but it is still a lot so dh will get a second opinion before finally deciding.
His tooth broke with the root remaining in situ. No infection or decay. His teeth are in reasonable condition so maybe there might be other options. Rather hope so.

£2,000 upwards is par for the course. Over £3,000 is getting pricy. I paid £2,500 two years ago.

DD had and implant about five years ago and it was £2,000 +

I had an implant from a recommended dentist which cost about £2,000 a couple of years back. It is excellent and rock solid, but I do agree a lot of money.

Depending on the condition of the teeth either side of the gap then if they are sound there should be no reason why a bridge isn't possible. I think the price quoted for the implant is about right but I'm in London and we're used to high prices. You mentioned a crown so is there no gap but he wants to remove the tooth, ok why does the tooth need removing. As long as the roots are sound are crown should be possible. Everything depends on the current condition of his teeth.

Personally I think a single implant from a reputable surgeon would cost around £2500- 3500. I went to an oro-maxillary surgeon for mine, which was a little more expensive but I researched his experience and was very happy with the result. If you have more than one at a time, then the cost will be less per implant.

Price is one issue but I’d need personal recommendations as well.

The same thing happened to me, my Nhs dentist tried to refer me for an implant, it's a few years ago now but the price quoted was £2,200, I said I'd think about it.
I rang around and made enquiries and found a private dentist in a village near by who charged £1,500 for one implant and a sliding scale down, if you had two or three done at the same time.

I would suggest you ask around locally to see if anyone can recommend a dentist who is still in touch with the real world and not just his/her own bank balance. Seems to be a dying breed unfortunately.
