Great news annie

I had a positive today. No idea how long I have to wait to see the consultant and then hopeful for physiotherapy so -
My younger daughter suggested I looked for a physiotherapist who would see me privately in my home.

I was unsure if i needed a physiotherapist or an occupational therapist so picked up courage and phoned the physio dept at
the local hospital for advice.

They have a community team, I answered many questions and - I will have home visits from both , NHS.

I had a bit of an epiphany moment today. I have been very low recently and have been very negative in my thinking. Today something good happened and it made me stop and think. Sometimes bad stuff happens but sometimes ..it doesn’t. I think I had forgotten that ?

Positives! Didn't want to go into town today but had to. Chatted to nice person at the bus stop on the way in. When running to catch the bus back the driver made it clear he would wait and an inspector did the same. When I was about to get off a nice voice offered to carry my bag, it was a neighbour. His wife was chatting about the free things M & S are giving away but she only had one to give to 2 children and I had 3 so gave her one. There are some lovely people around and, although very tired, I am counting my blessings.

Been of GN for a few days, just couldn't cope with it.

Some good and bad news from you all. annie suggest GD rings ACAS for advice, they can be very helful. I think the employer has to give a reference but only basic info about the job and how long she has worked there. Don't think they have to give her holiday when she wants, think they can just pay her for it when she leaves. My info may be out of date so ACAS is the best way to go.

Tried mindfulness ended up saying pretty much the same thing every day. I wasn't good at it.

Annie it teaches you how to do it in the book yes.. I am trying to do it now....

Joce, is it something one can learn without a therapist ?

I am reading Ruby Waxs book at the minute about mindfulness it’s very good up to now. Have not read the one before maybe should have, I will read that next ha

Thank you x . I know they will have disappointments, but the three of them have come through the distresses of their mother’s illness and suicide , throughout those years they studied, went to University , difficult for them.

A friend of mine swears by "Mindfulness". I can't say I really know anything about it, but if it helps some people, that's all good. I prefer to keep taking the tablets

Sad for new posted loneliness is a horrible feeling as many on hear know, bless her sure she would have been comfortable had she got to know everyone.
Some employees can be so nasty, they know when they have a good worker and don’t want to let them go, so make life difficult for them err sure she will work it out Annie.. hope so ..

Doodle when she posted her first post I suggested she suggested she joined us here as did other posters. She contacted me , couldn’t find this thread , I bumped it, she still
Could find it. A poster gave a link and she posted here, everyone was so kind with greetings .

She then contacted me and said ‘I don’t think it’s for me’
I replied saying she was welcome to join should she change her mind. That was it.

annie That’s some good news right. If only we could keep our minds occupied on non anxious things.

Joce I had a second lot of blood tests two weeks ago, the surgery didn’t ring back, I was so stressed I decided to ring,
they didn’t ring because all was well .

My Godson/Nephew had a quintuple heart bypass, I picked up the courage to text his mother/my sister, we haven’t had contact for two and half years , I feared she wouldn’t reply, I feared she would and not with good news, she did reply and was as loving as always, said the op was a success, he was in icu and she would let me know mid week how he was, she hasn’t, as she had a triple bypass last year I worried for both.
Younger daughter phoned , had to see a consultant, dodgy mole. She saw him yesterday, all is well thank God.
Then elder granddaughter FaceTimed, she is so excited about coming home to live, she gave a months notice but her firm are delaying reference and will not let her have her remaining two days holiday to come home for interview , she needs reference from her new employer for the landlord of the house they want to rent.

I was really concerned for the new poster , she was so troubled.

Not a great week was it ?

I have not had no results on water test so I presume all is ok with it is has been over a week now..
Doodle it is lovely to have some where to come you so right. Alway some one hear to listen..

Hope your stress has gone or lessened annie I have applied for a new position at work but they wont give it to me as I'm part time and they only like one area to have part time staff.

How is everyone? I had so much stress last week I was exhausted.

Thanks Dawn. We all try and middle along don’t we. Hopefully we are not all feeling down on the same day so we can take turns in trying to lift each other’s spirits.?
Nice to have somewhere to come.
