Hello everyone...

Lessismore Thu 25-Jul-19 08:59:17

That’s a shame annie but don’t give up on your hope of overcoming your agoraphobia. Perhaps God has a different plan x

Anniebach Thu 25-Jul-19 20:37:52

Hi all and thank you x

I made the decision to sell Fred because of practical problems.

1. Fred is parked at the front of the bungalow with a heavy, strong rainproof cover, because my hands are badly twisted from arthritis I cannot take the cover off or put it on. No one to help do this.

2. I bought a shelter for him, my brother started the base building but now hasn’t time to finish it.

3. Because my knee and hip are affected by arthritis sitting is painful, I stretch out on the sofa.

4. MIND are very helpful but they cannot have someone come everyday to take off the cover, help me get on Fred then put cover back on.

Without Fred I can walk with difficulty around the small bungalow. To overcome agoraphobia one has to keep going out daily , going a little further every few days.h

So I haven’t given up trying, I have hit brick walls .

How is everyone? Weather too hot for me sorry

nanny2507 Thu 25-Jul-19 21:38:09

annie sorry you have to sell fred but think of all the help he is going to give someone. Xx

nanny2507 Thu 25-Jul-19 21:40:39

salsa my fat cat and tank got on just fine as did tank with all my dogs. Fat cat adores one of my dogs. However I will not get another cat and it has nothing to do with the amount I currently have but due to the fact that it's not fair on fat cat who I adore

Anniebach Thu 25-Jul-19 22:12:15

I had therapy session today, been thinking of our discussion
since.

Q. What will you lose if you sell Fred, think on it.

So I have and there is only one answer , hope, and I am a firm believer in ‘don’t give up hope, if you do what is left .

Lessismore Fri 26-Jul-19 09:16:01

I suppose, in very practical terms, you will gain some funds.....could these help you in some way.....private therapist, new, comfortable furniture, outside seating?

Good Luck with it Annie.

nanny2507 Fri 26-Jul-19 20:50:46

That's a good idea less a lovely bit of outdoor seating. To look at the gorgeous outside world xx

Anniebach Fri 26-Jul-19 21:09:35

Thank you Lesse x

nanny the reason I bought Fred was to get out into the world again. x

Hope everyone is coping in this hot weather x

SparklyGrandma Fri 26-Jul-19 22:56:06

Blooming boiling Annie. We are mostly all struggling.

A dear friend lives in Lincs where they had that Heat Spike last night, it’s made him ill. Worried.

Not sleeping when you are frail is not good, let’s be careful out there folks ( like Hill Street Blues).

gransal Fri 26-Jul-19 23:06:45

Nanny so sorry about coco. She may need a home with no other pets. At least you tried.

nanny2507 Sat 27-Jul-19 20:26:13

What's a heat spike ?sparkly

Anniebach Sat 27-Jul-19 21:13:33

Hi all x

Bit cooler today but I want rain

Sparkle hope your friend has recovered x

nanny have you come to terms with everything now? It has been very difficult for you x q

SparklyGrandma Sun 28-Jul-19 01:41:10

nanny2507 a heat spike is an unusual weather event. At 9 pm that night, in that part of Lincs, the temperature jumped from 22 degrees C to 32 degrees C. Dangerous for frail people like my friend.

Annie he was still feeling bad at midday yesterday but getting better.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone. It’s still boiling hot here at 01.40 am.

Joce345 Sun 28-Jul-19 11:44:39

Morning all do hope everyone is having a good peaceful Sunday

Annie how are you?

Lovely sunny weather here

Anniebach Mon 29-Jul-19 22:28:43

Hi Sparkle , so pleased you enjoyed your day out x

Can it be the sun has lifted spirits? Winter drags many into
depression.

Joce345 Mon 29-Jul-19 22:59:08

Yes good to hear you all still there, not had a bad day as days go. Yes be-the sun Annie, it does lift somewhat hope it last a bit longer for us all..

Been off here for a while. Sorry the cat didn't work out Nanny. Annie so have you decided to keep Fred? Have only skim read what I missed so sorry if I should have mentioned anyone else.

I have been pushed into analysing my health because my hairdresser says I should see a doc because of the state of my hair. DS thinks I have PD (I don't) and DH keeps 'suggesting' I should go back to the doc. I get breathless going upstairs and also have more low blood pressure episodes which does make me wonder if my issues are physical but of course they could all be down to getting older. I seem to have the BP and heart rate of a very fit young person, which I am definitely not!

I have written a list of all the issues and am taking my BP 4 times a day and will do a spreadsheet to show the averages. Then I think I have to go to the doc and if he does think I'm the 'worried well' then so be it. I think I am being logical by collecting all the info but they doc may see it differently.

Now stressing about DS who is on a long flight and due to arrive to a thunder storm!
