Hello everyone...
Salsa, I so hope you get the job .
You deserve this for not giving up , it takes courage to ‘not give up’ ?
hello my lovely friends how are you all. I am not religious either but i do remember every day when hubs was poorly and we nearly lost him that twice a day , every day, i would enter the church chapel once in the morning to say please give me another day and once in the evening to say thank you for another day with him. i do hope that if prayer is what you need that it brings you the peace and the hope you ask for xxx
eilyann I totally agree about the over the counter ones. These are prescription ones because my insomnia is so bad. I only take them every other day because they are addictive which means I only sleep well one night in two. On the other night I drink sleepy tea and take some Holland and Barrett capsules, don't know if they help but they don't make me feel bad the next day. I doze off and on all night long and have some horrible dreams but I think it is marginally better than it was as the awake times seem to be shorter, not short but shorter than they were.
Nonnie Do you find pills help? I would so love a good night's sleep but the 'over the counter' ones I have tried did nothing except make me feel groggy next morning.
Salsa so glad it went well please let us know the result.
I'm not a good Christian but life's circumstances have made me believe. I try and I try to pray for everyone at night but sometimes my mind wanders, don't know why. After taking a pill last night I went straight to sleep and DH had to sort out all the rubbish on the bed, things I was going to do!
Hope you all have a good weekend.
thanks all The interview went well, I think. I was there for 40 minutes, chatting with the interviewer. It's Monday-Friday mornings only, and is 15 minutes' drive from me. It's also a job I've done before so I hope I get it
.
Oh goodness Salsa you can’t control depression. You have as much need for support and help as anyone else. We all have our different reasons for feeling down. Thank you for your kind thoughts. Hope all goes well with the job interview.
Hello all. Annie how are you doing? Hope everyone else is coping today
Salsa, everyone needs warm wishes x
Depression is depression, clinical depression can be more difficult to understand even for those with clinical depression.
Good luck with the interview today x
Doodle Nonnie Annie and others....I'm a non-believer, so I won't say I'll pray for you, but I wish you all well and hope you're all managing with your upsets and bad times. I feel such a fraud to have depression when you and so many others have real problems.
I've got a job interview today. It's minimum wage, but the main thing is, it's the type of work I want, it's only 20 minute's drive away, and it's mornings only. I have applied for 30 jobs now, so I hope I get this one
Sorry I meant Cherry, sorry Cherry x
What lovely people you all are. You are in my prayers too.
cherrytree I hope your three are ok. I also pray for those children who aren’t cared for. Take care all. Sleep restfully x

eilyann that’s so kind of you. I know you have many issues yourself so am truly grateful for your prayers. It hurts so much when those we love are suffering.
You are in my prayers too and have been since I first heard of your health issues. There are so many kind and caring folk on GN.
Doodle Many prayers and hugs x
aww doodle xxx
On a real low point tonight. So, so worried about DGS. Not in a good place. My heart aches for him and mum and dad.
nonnie I am so so very sorry xx
Hi everyone
Thinking of you all.
Annie the four Dr Claire Weeks main principles are
Face
Accept
Float
and crucially the best one for last and l mean what else can we do but
Let time pass.
She was a great Doctor and a fore front progressive thinker for those with nervous illness as she called it.
I often have very uncomfortable feelings to deal with which seem to pull at my emotions. If l could rectify that process l could strengthen up. But but but what is helping me a bit at the moment is this
Our thoughts are only feelings and not facts.
Good idea Annie to want to tease out more strategies to help ourselves and others. Amen to that.
Take care everyone from Dawn
I know its not the right thread but some of you probably have young GC. Another neighbour had her 2 year old GD to stay and she was off her food and quite unwell. They took her temperature and it was very low. She ended up in casualty where they looked for sepsis but the diagnosis was an ear infection. I had never heard of an ear infection causing the temperature to go down so am passing the word around.
So sorry about the poor 12 year old.
Nanny I think helping find this cat and sort him out is doing you good. What you may have missed is that my son was found dead and the coroner could not find a reason. We are still devastated.
For all you cat lovers. We are looking after the neighbours cats while they are away so go round to feed them and give them some attention. A couple of days ago one was trying to show me she wanted the boxed food and not the one I was giving her. We laughed at her antics. Yesterday I went round and hardly any of the food in the dishes had been eaten. I picked up the box she had been trying to get into and it was half empty but still upright. So funny! I've brought the box home and will try the other stuff again today and see what happens.
Nanny. He IS big! My boy weighs 12lb, and the vet told me to cut down on his food (he's fed 3 or 4 times a day, plus dry stuff). The vet then tried to flog me some expensive food they have in stock - I didn't buy any!
salsa he is huge now...weighs over a stone. me and the vet had "the " chat a couple of weeks ago when he had his jab {grin}
Nanny2507 awww that little one is gorgeous. I'm pleased that the other cat has been reunited with his owner, after all that time
. Your niece had a rough time of it, then, with the abscess. I tried a coil, a few years back, and it was agony. I insisted the doctor take it out after 2 weeks.
Anniebach I hope today has been better for you x
