Hello everyone...

Dawn22 Thu 01-Aug-19 18:16:15

Yes Salsa depression and anxiety for a long time can lead to a paranoid type of thinking as we don't always view the world in a healthy way. Not easy or pleasant thinking. Dr Claire Weeks on youtube is good for overall mental health. I understand and empathise. The good thing about this forum is at least we know we are not alone.

Dawn. thanksflowers

Enjoy you journey Dawn, have a good flight.

Nonnie Thu 01-Aug-19 16:55:34

Salsa have you had any counselling? It might help. It is clear you know it is all in your mind but that doesn't help because you still feel it.

I know why I worry so much and tell myself I just have to learn to live with it. A sudden, unexpected death is bound to make me worry about the rest of the family. My close family are amazingly tolerant and always tell me when they are travelling, where and even flight numbers. The message me to let me know how the journey is going.

SalsaQueen Thu 01-Aug-19 16:47:59

nonniethat's awful for you. I have the anxiety about my sons, often, but this is something different. I know what/who started it. I feel as though the only people I can actually trust and feel safe with are my immediate family members. If someone doesn't reply to a text/email, I think it's because they don't like me, and I've been over-thinking every word, every action, of other people, and trying to analyse what they meant. Mad? Yes, I know.

Nonnie Thu 01-Aug-19 16:39:09

If I remember correctly annie August is a very bad month for you. Thinking of you and sending hugs.

Nonnie Thu 01-Aug-19 16:38:11

Have a lovely break Dawn

Salsa not entirely sure whether it is paranoia but I worry all the time about my family and close friends since the death of my son.

SalsaQueen Thu 01-Aug-19 16:34:52

Dawn22good luck with your flight. Have a lovely time with your daughter

Anniebach how are you today?

nanny2507sorry it wasn't Tank

Have any of you people on here had paranoia before, with your anxiety/depression? I'm feeling odd (had it before) and wondered if anyone else gets like it

Dawn22 Thu 01-Aug-19 16:13:10

Thank you Annie for that good quote

"What if l fail but darling what if you fly"

Very appropriate for me as l fly off abroad tomorrow to see my beloved only daughter who has emigrated. I am full of anxiety about everything.
Thinking of everyone. Dawn xx

nanny2507 Thu 01-Aug-19 11:48:17

nonnie I have accepted its prob not tank but I am telling myself that if it's not then I am helping someone else baby to go home. Cant say I wont cry but I need to do right by this baby too x

Anniebach Thu 01-Aug-19 11:19:14

nonnie we can’t control thoughts which flash into our minds, I was thinking of the thoughts which follow

Nonnie Thu 01-Aug-19 11:12:11

nanny it will be wonderful if is is Tank but so hard if it turns out not to be.

annie hard to to 'what if', hope you manage it. If only we could choose our thoughts.

gransal Thu 01-Aug-19 00:10:48

* oh nanny*my heart goes out to you. Keep us informed.

Joce345 Wed 31-Jul-19 23:39:50

That a really good quote Annie I will remember that.. yes it’s all the what ifs that do me, wish I could stop that...

nanny please be careful what you do..

Good night all sleep well ?

nanny2507 Wed 31-Jul-19 21:30:15

i sat in a field talking into thin air so it could hear my voice and i sang a song that i used to sing to him...well a line of a song. This cat is liking the people he is visits so with their help we can sort this babycakes i just dont know why I, I love you so sad sad it broke my heart i couldnt stop sobbing afterwards

nanny2507 Wed 31-Jul-19 21:27:00

annie i have just read that too. joce i actually saw said cat today and yes it is possibly him...not certain until we have caught it...the place is far too rural to be a neighbours cat as the neighbours are a petrol garage and a hotel only. So even if not tank this is someones baby and hopefully I can get it back home xxx

Anniebach Wed 31-Jul-19 20:52:34

Joce, it was in an email I received regarding mental health,
I was surprised because as you say , she seems so confident, she does have concerns that one could flare when she is doing a live interview.

I am ok thank you Joce, things have been calmer today, I decided last night I must stop the ‘what if’s’ .

Because of my darling elder daughter’s illness I supported my 3 grandchildren through gcse’s, A levels, University, when they got anxious about exams etc they would say
‘What if I fail’, I use to remind them of a quote I liked

‘What if I fall? but darling what if you fly’

I like Erin Hanson quotes ?

Joce345 Wed 31-Jul-19 20:28:27

Hi Annie that’s interesting where did you read it? She seems so confident, just goes to show no one can see what’s on the inside.. how are you today Annie?

Anniebach Wed 31-Jul-19 19:36:59

Hi all x

Today I read that Fearne Cotton suffers from panic attacks,
she said in 2017 she was driving on the motorway 30 minutes from her home when a panic flared up, she had to
phone the AA to take her and her car home.

Joce345 Wed 31-Jul-19 19:19:50

Hope all is well with everyone. Any new on Tank nanny?

Nonnie Wed 31-Jul-19 10:05:20

She sounds lovely nanny

nanny2507 Tue 30-Jul-19 21:52:56

Thanks. I have been praying that its him. i will call them tomorrow and go round to sit in their back garden they have told me i can sit for as long as i like as the lady is a cat lover and she got very emotional when i spoke of tank and how much i miss him. xx

SparklyGrandma Tue 30-Jul-19 21:43:02

Fingers crossed for you nanny2507 I hope it’s Tank.

Nonnie Tue 30-Jul-19 13:35:51
