Anxiety and depression does nibble away at our self confidence. The ‘what if’s’ when relating to ourselves is so
often so. Different to the ‘what ifs’ relating to loved ones.

I am speaking of my own experiences

Evening all. I might be missing a bit for a couple of weeks as DH are off on holiday and WiFi is a bit intermittent. I will be thinking of you all though and will pop in whenever I can.

The weather here is awful. Another day keeping cozy by the fire.
Joce I know that tummy feeling and I hate it. The only consolation is that we know why it’s there. Just think you will be going to the sunshine and away from this persistent horrid weather (well it is here is Scotland). Hope you have a really good time.

Flutterbyl thank you, it will be nice to see some sun... the weather is getting bad hear now.. I am hoping it cleared up for tomorrow my daughter and family have to travel to London, it about 3 hours away, long drive for them they are flying from Gatwick on Monday.
I will pop in now and again when I am not with Micky, to see if all is well...

The storm is really bad here in Mid Wales, I have torches and
candles on standby . So much heavy rain it is running down
the road like waves.

I suspect I may have a UTI , hope not , anti biotics don’t like me, will have to wait untill surgery opens on Monday

Yes you are anxious but mixed in with the anxiety is excitement, you are excited about seeing your grandchildren
enjoying Disney World.

Bet your grandchildren’s tummy are churning too with excitement.

Our tummy churns when we have the dentist, our tummy churned when we had a date with a dishy chap , yes ?

It’s the thought which goes with the churning my love.

Hope you do not have a UTI Annie.
I am at home at the moment, went out and got the papers and things that are needed, as my partner had a accident and broken bones are involved.
Sciattica is painful at the moment, but I am trying to keep moving. I have to say I am down and fed up. I have held of on meds for this as they were beginning to affect my digestive system badly. I will take two painkillers to get me to work tommorow.
Everyone keep warm and safe in this weather.

I went shopping this morning and apart from not having red sparkly shoes on I felt as if I was taking part in a remake of The Wizard of Oz. I was glad to get home. Rain started now.
Joce sending positive thought. Have a wonderful time.
RAF sciatica is an awful thing. Remember to take your painkillers and be kind to yourself. It will pass.
Off to make cuppa and scone with jam and cream.

You are not alone Whywhywhy I have found this thread lovely, positive and thoughtful. Yes at time we all feel dreadful but we can come on here and have a warm welcome.

rafichagran I too know the problems of painkillers because of a stomach ulcer and IBS, hope the sciatica eases soon x

Friends , I can never be accused of being a curtain twitcher, I
received a phone call this morning from a lady who lives at the top end of the Cul de Sac, she asked if I was alright, said
she had to leave her bungalow in the night water coming in.

I telephoned my next door neighbour but one this afternoon to ask how that lady was, he informed me that at 1.30 am there
was a fire engine in the Cul de Sac emptying the drains, 18
bungalows here and 11 had flood water in their bungalows.

My dogs and I slept through it all even when the fire engine
was emptying the drains outside my bungalow, they even
moved my recycling bins ! My bedroom is at the front of the
bungalow !

Joce we will all be with you in thought and with love, I remember when you joined BlackDog, you are doing brilliantly even though you got a set back with a physical problem last year . So my love tomorrow you will fly and I
am not thinking of the flight . Go girl, have a great time, and

I feel such guilt , 12 bungalows here flooded , carpets and flooring ruined, all tenants are elderly or elderly and disabled
I can’t help them .

I have discovered why my throat was hurting for 4 weeks I had a huge ulcer in it. And ears have been blocked since xmas...for the last 2 days they they have been leaking fluid..I'm fed up with it now x
