I have been referred to the hospital by my optician today and have an urgent appointment on Monday morning.

Do you think it is a good idea to write all my symptoms down even if they may be nothing to do with the issue. I am very worried since I saw the optician.
She thinks I may have a tumour and wants it investigated urgently.

I don’t want to look like I am inventing stuff when I get there but I have had lots of things go wrong over the last 3 months and can’t help but think they are all related.

It was your daughter I was thinking about paddyanne, but didn't want to say. I hoped you would respond.

Scentia, it's obviously been a huge shock to get your diagnosis. ?

I am a little shocked and really can’t understand it at the moment, I need to read about it I think. Thanks for your posts everyone.

Hi Scentia
Please don’t panic. Actually, if you have fibro, the hardest part can be just being diagnosed, so things could start feeling better soon. Your GP (unless they are knowledgeable themselves about fibro) will probably refer you to either a rheumatologist or a neurologist. That’s because there still isn’t enough known or agreed about fibro to decide which specialism is more appropriate. Most of the diagnostic criteria are established just through discussion with them, rather than through additional tests. Then you can discuss and explore treatment options that are suitable for you to control your own symptoms with them and/or your GP.
I hope these are a couple of useful links for you:
