Many of you have said you are doing exercise at home and would love some inspiration. We thought it might be fun if we sourced a good exercise video for every weekday (weekends off grin) that we could all take part at the same time. And compare notes here how you found it, how you feel afterwards etc. Maybe make it part of your morning routine? No one will know if you're wearing Lycra or PJs...grin

So, starting from Monday 6th April at 10am - every morning we'll post a new video to our exercise page. If you're up to it and feel you'd safely be able to take part, then please do. And if you have any good suggestions of videos to add to the list please send 'em over to [email protected]

Till Monday!

EDIT: These will be links to existing videos we think will be fun or useful, not our own Gransnet ones - sadly we're not in a position to be filming right now! So there may be a few you've already heard of/tried yourselves (we've made a list from favourites mentioned by you on the forums), although not everyone will have. Be fun to sweat together in any case. grin

Nice one .

Good plan

cangran Fri 03-Apr-20 18:35:04

Great idea. I've been following a Joe Wick's video for seniors (in a quiet spot in the garden!). It's only 10 minutes but I really do feel good after doing it.

Wish I could be as comfortable and chilled out as that cat when exercising.?

Jomarie Fri 03-Apr-20 18:54:11

Great idea - I'm up for it (gently does it though!) grin

NanaPlenty Fri 03-Apr-20 19:03:25

I’m looking forward to it - kept saying I needed to start some indoor exercise now I’ve got no excuse!

My granddaughter wanted me to join in the Joe Wicks for kids. Just watching it left me out of breath! Cangran will have a look at the seniors one. Is it on You Tube?

Lollin Fri 03-Apr-20 19:18:59

Good idea but think I'll stay here and follow the cat!

DanniRae Fri 03-Apr-20 19:25:21

Oh thank you Gransnet flowers that's a great idea smile

Rowantree Fri 03-Apr-20 19:26:42

I did the Joe Wicks one for almost two weeks. This morning I just wasn't up to it, so I did a session of Pilates and the Joe Wicks' seniors session. I find exercise helps my mood in the morning. I feel great afterwards but then after lunch I feel low, tired and demotivated. Don't know why! Anyone feel similarly?

Rowantree Fri 03-Apr-20 19:27:15

I'll give the gransnet ones a try tomorrow

Dawn22 Fri 03-Apr-20 20:38:50

Dawn.

shysal Fri 03-Apr-20 21:52:55

I look forward to it.

Blinko Fri 03-Apr-20 21:54:53

Great idea! I'd like to give it a go.

NfkDumpling Fri 03-Apr-20 22:35:50

I’ll give it a go too - provided DH isn’t in the room!

Ashcombe Sat 04-Apr-20 10:22:47

Yes, please! My exercise class teacher has sent a video to use at home which is great on days when I can’t go out for a walk.

maddyone Sat 04-Apr-20 13:56:19

Brilliant, I’ve been doing the JoeWicks one for seniors, but it’s the same one every day.

whywhywhy Sat 04-Apr-20 22:59:02

OK, but how do I view it as I'm not very tech savvy? Thanks

Maggiemaybe Sat 04-Apr-20 23:30:38

As long as they’re less than 25 minutes long and don’t cut into Ken Bruce’s Pop Master, I’ll be there. grin

SirChenjin Sat 04-Apr-20 23:41:49

Why the link to the video will be on the exercise page that LaraGransnet linked to. You just click on it and watch it on your phone, or iPad or laptop or however you use Gransnet smile

LullyDully Sun 05-Apr-20 08:39:12

Will have a go, I'm not very bendy.

Jangran99 Sun 05-Apr-20 21:51:44

Thanks Lara, great idea, I'm in ?
