Blue so sorry your anxiety is so bad, you seem to know it is not reasonable. How long did you take the meds for? It can take a very long time for them to kick in and if one doesn't suit you your GP could try another. It is a lengthy process but 'every journey begins with a single step'.

We are in isolation too and have our shopping delivered. I think the delivery people are well trained. We put disposable gloves on to bring the food in then quarantine things which don't need to go in the fridge for 3 days. Anything which needs to be put away is either sprayed or wiped, left out while we remove the gloves and wash our hands, then put away and hands washed again. We then clean all work surfaces and quarantine the bags. Yes, it is probably overkill but we have the time to do it and it makes us feel we are doing our best.

bluesapphire sorry to hear you are so anxious. I think you are taking very good precautions regarding deliveries. I doubt you have any cause for concern but that won’t help you with your worries. Hope you get some help with dealing with this as it is obviously causing you problems. Take care.

You do not have to open the door, someone delivered a parcel
to me, they rung the doorbell, I spoke to them through the
closed door and asked them to leave the parcel at the door.

Anniebach never had anxiety of any sort before the virus, just terrified of catching it. This is so unlike me. I really need someone to talk some sense into me. If DH were still here, he would be the one. I may ring DD, but I don't want to be a nuisance to her. I am having CBT over the phone but next session is not till Friday.

I ask for the groceries to be left on the side doorstep, and then the driver by by to return to the van and drive off. They do not come into the house, and I do not get the stuff in until they've gone.

But some times they knock and ask if I want them to unpack, which means I have to open back door to reply, and I'm never sure of where they're standing, and sometimes they bring them up in the crates, which I don't want. I think I need to amend my delivery instructions.

Am just so fed up with feeling so much anxiety about the virus. I get several worries everyday and my anxiety is sky-high, - that's why I had those terrible drugs, but they did nothing for me, so that's why I'm off them.

I worry about whether I could catch the virus every day, stupid, silly things. The worst today was my Sainsbury's delivery. Opened front window very slightly to tell driver to leave delivery outside side door - now there was no need for that as they already have instructions, but sometimes they get it wrong. The driver was well over two metres away, not coughing or sneezing, spoke briefly to confirm and I closed window - and then I kept wondering whether virus had blown in through window, as it was very windy. I went through my CBT routine, listed all the pros and cons, and many more reasons why it was unlikely to get in, and why I shouldn't worry, but still can't get rid of the fear. Even read an article that said the person would have to standing right by the open window coughing and sneezing at me. But the anxiety won't go away.

I can't help but see the worst in everything and always fear the worst outcome. My routine next is to wait a week to see if I get any symptoms, and then breathe a sign of relief. But this goes on every day. Just longing for all this worry to go away and everything to go back to normal . I know I can't live like this.

So sorry for all the doom and gloom again. Any one else feel like this?

joce sad not to see the GC, many of us understand how you feel. I see mine a lot on a little screen, that is all. However, at least I can see that they are well and happy.

Doodle my hands shake too, I think its my meds but DS made me go to the doctor months ago because he was sure it was something serious.

Blue no idea what those drugs are but pretty sure anything that is not causing direct harm is better weaned off. Think the GP should have told you that at the outset.

nanny that must give you a great feeling of achievement, something I miss most of the time. Think that might be why I am baking more for DS & DiL.

Still waiting for a response about the bill I tried to reconcile with my records. I always paid them the same day they sent the invoice so now they can simply wait until they get their act together and reconcile against my spreadsheet. Maybe they just press buttons on a computer and don't understand basic bookkeeping .

My positive of the day - DS (who now behaves as if he is the parent) has given me 'permission' to meet a friend either in their garden or ours. I may not meet them in a park! Shame the weather has changed.

annie how lovely i am so desperate to see my little miss sassy pants. I read her a story over whatsapp video the other night it was wonderful. she video called me for the next three days wanting another one. Everytime she video calls she asks to see Marshall its so sweet. Hope everyone is ok. Been doing more BSL tonight im really enjoying it...4 more categories to go then i do a final assesment. Ive been doing some little assessments and my score has gone up on each one last 3 have been 100% i,m a very happy

Hello, just posting after a horrendous week of suffering from terrible withdrawal effects from Sertraline and Lorazepam.

Had to speak to GP again yesterday, I felt so bad. She thought it was more likely to be the Lorazepam, and said I should be weaned off it slowly. She put me back on a low dose, and has put me on a programme of reducing the dose gradually over the next 3 weeks or so. I already feel so much better and can even look at a cup of tea for the first time this morning! Keeping my fingers crossed!

joce I think we are all missing our DGC. The weather changes day to day. I’m sure you will get to see them again soon. We haven’t seen our DGS for 11 weeks and only seen our DGD at a distance twice over the last 12 weeks. But it will pass. We will be able to meet up again. Try and keep your spirits up ?
