Hi all x

lavender yes plants for North West facing is a tricky one, she didn’t even know her apartment faced North West , asked me
and I live 50 miles away, never been there x

nonnie having lived in council property for 12 years I am so
use to battles with them , majority of council tenants are. I really can’t imagine what it’s like to ‘feel I should be busy’ , sounds stressful x

Joyce a down time ? It will pass my love , I so hope the children visit you today x

Doodle it will take ages to get the path sorted . How are you ?

I am doing little today, will have a nap this afternoon and then
cross stitching, am doing a wall hanging for elder granddaughter, she thinks Scarlet O’Hara is a feminist ! so I
am stitching ‘After All ,Tomorrow Is Another Day’ and some
sunflowers ?

nanny2507 Wed 24-Jun-20 17:32:56

hello all. I must start by saying nonnie keep posting the positives its so lovely to hear of peoples positives x

annie the video call to see the opening of gifts sounds lovely.

Doodle Wed 24-Jun-20 19:53:34

Sorry too exhausted for much tonight. We had just finished our meal when the Waitrose delivery came and after carrying it all in and washing it I am worn out. We went for a walk early this morning as it was going to be hot so Have had the rest of the day to myself and my painting.

annie I like the sound of your cross stitch. Hope your granddaughter likes it.

I am so tired tonight. Don’t know why as I slept well last night. I am reading a book I am enjoying so may have an early night and read in bed.

Sleep well all ?

lavenderzen Wed 24-Jun-20 20:21:05

Just wish you all a peaceful evening, take care and stay safe.
(Oh, just forgotten to say steroid injections are rescheduled for Friday - yipee!).

Doodle you deserve an early night with your book. You have done a bit too much.

Hope you are ok Annie xx

Lots of love to all xx

Joce345 Wed 24-Jun-20 20:39:27

Annie just a few, Japanese orange azalea, Pacific Dawn. Mexican White dazzler, all flowering evergreens hope this helps...

Night all sleep well ?

Anniebach Thu 25-Jun-20 10:19:16

Hi all x

How is everyone?

Joyce I have never had a north facing garden , she wants evergreens , thank you x

A thought on weather , anyone find temperature affects their
anxiety/depression?

Doodle Thu 25-Jun-20 10:22:08

I feel brighter in the sunshine usually. If I’m low, dark skies make me worse. At the moment I’m exhausted with the heat so if it’s too hot I’m worn out anyway. How about you annie how are you coping with the weather?

Nonnie Thu 25-Jun-20 10:42:58

Doodle I always read in bed, part of my routine and it stops me 'thinking' which is a big part of my problem. When I wake in the night I read a different book on my Kindle rather than switch the light on and wake DH. Its another way of stopping me thinking!

annie hostas are very happy in the shade and several different varieties. Just suggested that to Dil for a small shaded area they have. Don't let this give the impression I know much about gardening, just have the odd nugget of info grin.

My positive today, I now have a 'normal' BMI! It has been hard work as I have a 'condition' which affects metabolism so feels like a real achievement. I could be the only person in lockdown who has lost weight!

Joce345 Thu 25-Jun-20 11:10:55

Morning all Annie the sunshine always makes me feel better..
It is very hot and all I want to do is sit and read, when my head lets me..
Nonnie I have lost wight as well, I need to, but I do when the anxiety hits me...
Have a good day all

Anniebach Thu 25-Jun-20 21:27:50

nonnie I have hostas in my list, I love them , have several , thank you x

Joyce yes grey skies can certainly affect depression, for me
it’s temperature, yes strange but too cold or too hot and I feel
anxious.

Doodle too hot for me and the nights ! Can’t have bedroom
window open, it faces the road.

I have been house hunting today ! Elder granddaughter and
partner want to buy a house , same as 30 years ago for her
Mother .

Doodle Thu 25-Jun-20 21:54:06

annie it is very hot today. I’m exhausted doing nothing. It is so draining.
Do you have a fan you can put on in your bedroom?
Is you granddaughter looking locally annie?
Well done joce and nonnie on the weight loss. I feel you have given your extra weight to me ?

Sleep well all. x

Anniebach Thu 25-Jun-20 22:02:28

Doodle she saw a converted barn here and loved it but she
wouldn’t find work easily, she is in law and no large law firms her so think they will stay on the same area where they live now, and they love being on the coast

Joce345 Thu 25-Jun-20 22:03:20

Annie no don’t like the heat at night so have a small fan on a lot more comfortable... the cold makes me more anxious..
Don’t know if it’s the heat why I can’t get motivated to anything
House hunting exciting times for them, starting a new life together, in a new home...
Lilly’s grow lovely in the shade annie but like hosters die back in winter. herbs do good in shade as well if she uses them...

Hope everyone has had a good day...

Nonnie Fri 26-Jun-20 10:28:21

Annie I love house hunting, I love selling my house! Yes, weird but I find it all so interesting. These days you can do most of it online. A neighbour's house sold during lockdown without the buyers even coming to look at it! Don't think I'd go that far but we did once sell a house to a man relocating whose wife never came to see it before they moved in,

I have a cold sore! Not a big deal and I deserve it for spending so much time in the sun. That and chocolate are the usual causes.

Still no rain here so it looks like lots of watering again this evening. Might get out with the hedge trimmer if it stays dry,

Think its time for DS to go back to work, he is treating us as if we were elderly and disabled. He built up a step because DH's knee gave way (happens because he needs a new one) and sent me photos of hand rails he wants to put in the garden. Don't know where he finds the time to worry about us!

Anniebach Fri 26-Jun-20 13:40:48

Hi all x

Hope everyone is coping .

nonnie house hunting whilst sitting on the sofa is most relaxing. You have a cold sore ? miserable things . Let your
son do his fussing over you, he loves you x

Joyce I am thankful the heat is lower today, now rain please ,
I am nervous watering the shrubs in the back garden and gripping the hose hurts my hands .x

lavenderzen Fri 26-Jun-20 17:15:42

Hello everyone x Hope you are all ok.

What a hot day again! Too hot for me and my little four legged friend. A short walk and that was enough.

Stay safe, take care everyone and have a peaceful evening xx

rafichagran Fri 26-Jun-20 17:21:50

Hello everyone.
I am very hot and tired as well, but I am looking after my Grandson while my daughter is working.
I took him to the woods, he climbed trees and went into the river, I got my feet wet as well.
It's amazing how things that cost nothing are so much fun.
I hope everyone keeps well and has a good rest of the day. I am feeling a bit better today.

Joce345 Fri 26-Jun-20 19:11:36

Worrying day today my little granddaughter is poorly, had to take her to hospital been the a while now, wish they would sort her my poor daughter is beside her self, having to go to hospital just makes it all seem worse...

We have had sunshine then a lovely storm, now sunshine again..

lavenderzen Fri 26-Jun-20 19:32:07

Oh Joyce just seen your post, I am so sorry to hear about your little granddaughter. Thinking of her and you all xx

Doodle Fri 26-Jun-20 19:40:49

annie shame she can’t move closer to you but it’s interesting house hunting anyway. Have you been looking today?
nonnie sorry about the cold sore. Painful aren’t they. Let your son help. It’s great to have children who care about you.
lavender yes too hot for us too. Going for an evening walk as it’s cooler now.
rafichagran I bet your DHS had a lovely day with you. Lock it in the special memory box.?
joce sorry to hear your DGD is in hospital. Hope they find out what’s wrong soon.

Joce345 Fri 26-Jun-20 22:03:19

Doodle Fri 26-Jun-20 23:14:41
