Might not misfit.?

Doodle Fri 24-Apr-20 22:06:08

annie I hate those dreams that linger after you wake up. Sometimes frightening and sometimes just very disturbing.
I have never been able to control my dreams and I doubt you would have the same thing again tonight. You survived annie remember that. Do you listen to your audio books in bed? Misfit be nice to have one going tonight to help you go to sleep. I really hope you have a good night and no bad dreams. Sleep well x

eilyann thank you . Yes I have been out of front and back door. Two days went about 4 foot from the back door to water
my shrubs. Yesterday evening , about 3 foot from the front door, there is a gentleman living across the Cul de sac, I assume he has M.S., I receive a Christmas card from him signed from X and carers, the card is from a M.S. charity. He
was outside his front door in a wheelchair with a carer, I couldn’t join him for the clapping so I stood on my path and
clapped, he waved .

Had a very distressing night, last year had EMDR therapy for
post traumatic stress, most helpful. Yesterday had a meet up
with the therapist,FaceTime. We discussed the agoraphobia and why it started . In the night I had a very upsetting dream,
awoke shaking, couldn’t stop the horrors of the dream , they
kept flashing through my mind, anxiety hit the roof, it will
pass but am exhausted and in honesty fear going to bed tonight, want to sleep on the sofa but I must go to bed not
start avoidance. Again thank you x

I think the hardest part of all this is missing our loved ones, we just have to keep telling ourselves it will come to an end eventually and we will see them again. It is so hard.

It’s 11 years today since my mam died and I just want to talk to her. She was a grounded down to earth person who would tell it as it is and right now I miss her like mad.

annie hope you are ok today. I was watching the video of this mornings service from Canterbury Cathedral on you tube . The Dean there has a lovely peaceful quality to his voice. He was sitting on a chair in the lovely gardens they have there when a large black cat came and jumped on the table next to him and sat down to listen to the bible readings ?

Doodle Wed 22-Apr-20 21:10:23

lavender you description of your walk with your dog made me smile. Being able to enjoy the sunshine and the flowers makes such a difference. ?

Doodle Wed 22-Apr-20 21:08:43

billybob that’s a lovely quote. Thank you for sharing.?

Doodle Wed 22-Apr-20 21:07:26

rafichagran you sound just like me. Sometimes I keep things going over and over in my mind especially if I have done something wrong or made a mistake. It’s what we worriers do. This idea about going over and over something can on occasions be helpful if it brings a solution or acceptance but if it doesn’t then all it is doing is adding to your anxiety. I do the same myself. I think we often make more of the situation than it warrants. Try and forgive yourself.

nonnie it’s lovely that you have good things in your life, your family and your friends.
I am sorry you feel that bad things are always going to happen but the reality is that that is the case for all of us. None of us are exempt from pain and suffering or health problems. You have had a lot of health problems by the sound of it but I’m sure they are not your fault just as I am sure none of my DHs health problems have been his fault. He has done his best to stay fit and healthy and follow the doctors advice but he has had health problems, cancer, heart, blood issues etc from his early 40s and continues to do so. I don’t feel he is being singled out for trouble or that bad things will always happen to him. I am just grateful he is still with me.
My family too have terrible worries and anxieties with a family member that’s been going on for many years and there is nothing that any of us can do about that either other than hope that the outcome will be ok in the end. Hope is all we have.
I am sorry you feel so bad and wish I had the words to comfort you.

lavenderzen Wed 22-Apr-20 20:24:11

Hello everyone. How are you all?
Annie thank you for the quote on dark and light x
Hello Doodle thank you - I had an odd day yesterday sometimes there seem to be so many down days, anyway I feel better today. I've just had a call from my daughter and she is better today (yesterday she was very aggressive and I felt so upset), she is finding everything overwhelming, although the staff are wonderful with her.
You have been working hard Joyce I know how much you wanted to help, and you are.
Hello Billybob I like the verse, thank you.
I'm sorry you are struggling rafichagran x
I have just managed to get a delivery slot on Tescos - the joy of managing that seemed quite an achievement!
My little four legged friend and I went for a walk this afternoon to listen to the birds and feel the breeze, his lovely little ears blowing in the wind! Made me feel much better to have been outside and in the fresh air.

Wishing you all a peaceful evening and sleep tonight that is free from worry and pain xx
