Joce345 Wed 19-Aug-20 21:50:02

Annie family umm, I know the feeling. No don’t dwell on them things Annie that certainly doesn’t help, been there no more. For me just makes depression worse..

Anniebach Wed 19-Aug-20 21:54:00

Doodle I have two telephone calls every week from two charities, I miss face to face chats, they are kind, ask the same
questions every week, am I coping in the house , the weather
and what do I do to pass the time.

BlueSky Wed 19-Aug-20 22:04:55

Annie sorry to hear today is not been too good. This virus has a lot to answer for, as if we didn't have enough problems before. Hope you'll all manage a restful night x

Joce345 Wed 19-Aug-20 22:14:39

Nite all, hope you all have a peaceful night,
I’m soooo tired having early night.. ?

Doodle Wed 19-Aug-20 22:55:14

Yes I understand. It’s not the same as seeing real people. Conversations on the phone are not the same.
Sleep well all x

Anniebach Thu 20-Aug-20 09:49:31

Hi all x

How is everyone doing ?

BlueSky Thu 20-Aug-20 10:34:44

Morning all. Better day dryer and I feel a bit more human. My stomach playing up so try bland food and tea. Should have text results for the Covid test today or tomorrow. Have a pleasant day x

Nonnie Thu 20-Aug-20 10:36:16

Hi All. Missed about 5 pages so sorry but I have been really busy, feels as if I'm back at work. Bit of social life, lots of support for someone who needed it, cat sitting, shopping for neighbours who have been on holiday in France and now involved with a project for another person, not forgetting a long Zoom call yesterday. Good thing is I haven't had much time to think!

Hope things have improved for some of you, please update me if I've missed something as haven't read what I have missed.

Still praying for you all, how is the sil? Anyone heard from Whywhy why since she moved? Hope she is having too good a time to come on here.

Joce345 Thu 20-Aug-20 11:03:05

Doodle Thu 20-Aug-20 11:33:20

Morning annie and all.
bluesky hope you get your results soon. Hope you feel better soon. Dry toast is good for an upset tummy. Take care.
nonnie , my goodness you are busy. Good to hear you are getting on with life. ?
joce hope you are getting on ok. I’m definitely plodding at the moment and trying to keep the wobbles at bay.
Have a good day all.

Scaredycat Thu 20-Aug-20 13:48:50

Morning everyone. Oh Annie I feel so sad for you it must be so hard to have your sisters so near and yet so far. Perhaps it would be worth a try to contact Silverline - I,m sure I,ve read positive things about it.
Blue Sky I feel nauseas quite a lot my best thing is Rich Tea fingers dipped in tea. Be careful though cos they fall in if you,re not quick!!
I had a nice morning went to the Woodland Trust with my eldest GD and my 2 GGC They played and we chatted. So nice to have another normal morning. It’s quite hot today and so far no rain.
Still feel sick and shaky but that’s nothing new!!
Take care all and hope you have a good day

BlueSky Thu 20-Aug-20 14:09:37

Thanks Doodle and Scaredycat yes I found that in the morning is tea at the moment never mind coffee and I've gone off buttery biscuits I'm after the Rich Teas! I'm not expecting a positive result for Covid as I haven't been far and we don't have family/friends nearby to visit, if it was it would be quite worrying with respect to the virus!

Anniebach Thu 20-Aug-20 14:27:51

Thank you ScaredyCat, it is very sad being estranged from my family, we were all very close, godparents to each other’s
children, our children were very close, school holidays they all
played together, went to the same schools, then when adults they became Godparents to each other’s children.

It went wrong when my darling daughter’s bipolar went out of
control, they all adored her but it was difficult for them to
understand. I am sad for my three grandchildren not being
part of the large extended family, but it’s the past and we can’t
change the past.

You went to the Woodland Trust yesterday, well done , definitely a ?

Scaredycat Thu 20-Aug-20 16:35:58

Hi Annie I go walking most days either with my husband or alone . But since the easing of lockdown I am so fearful of being near people and the uncertainty of everything has ramped up the anxiety and hence the horrid physical symptoms. Helped of course by a good dose of Health anxiety. Apart from that I,m ok — ha ha.
It must have been so hard to watch your lovely daughter with bi - polar. My Mum got poorly in her seventies but it is such a difficult condition to deal with.
I hope you are having a better day today and the sun is shining in Wales

Doodle Thu 20-Aug-20 17:27:45

annie I know a little of your history that you have let us into on GN but I find it hard to understand your sisters and their attitude. Your DD was ill and you were trying to help her as any mother would. It may have been difficult for them to deal with at the time but surely time has passed and they should think more of the bond between you as family especially with your DGC.

Doodle Thu 20-Aug-20 17:29:04

scaredycat I am very protective of my DH when we are out walking and I try hard to keep him away from people. It is difficult since the easing of lockdown.

BlueSky Thu 20-Aug-20 17:45:32

Well the Covid was negative of course otherwise it would have meant never going out again! We have been very careful and followed guidelines after that it's in the lap of the gods.

Anniebach Thu 20-Aug-20 21:16:31

I ask, no beg, as fearful as you may be , do go out, yes avoid
being too near people but go out.

3 years last January I moved to the Close where I now live, I was under much stress, caring for my grandchildren and my
darling daughter, fearing the highs and lows of the bi polar, I
made no effort to get to know my neighbours, I stayed in to
avoid people making comments, asking questions, had years of it, the decision to stay in lessened the stress, but it turned
into agoraphobia, choosing not to go out changed to frighten
to leave the house, I had made it ‘a safe place’ but really I made it a prison.

And I speak as one who use to love climbing mountains, walking holidays, driving from Wales to Scotland, loved the
Cotswolds , Devon, Cornwall, Yorkshire moors.

Now my front garden path fills me with fear. Do not let this
happen to you, and I assure you it can creep up on you .

Joce345 Thu 20-Aug-20 21:42:23

Annie our dear Annie life can be so cruel, people can be cruel.

What I am interested to know is why do we fear what other people think of us? they don’t live our life’s, they don’t know what happens in our life’s. They don’t live in our shoes. No one ever knows what is happening in someone else life..

Joce345 Thu 20-Aug-20 21:43:49

Doodle I’m plodding a lot better to day thank you for thinking of me..
hope everyone’s has a good day.

Flutterby1 Thu 20-Aug-20 21:44:47

Hello to all my friends. Like Nonnie I too have missed lots of posts due to family issues. Waiting on a close family member having hospital tests also concerns for one of my children plus had iPad problems however I am happy to be with you tonight.
Having read a few back posts lots of people going through difficult times.
Annie you help us all so much with your wisdom and poems. I and I am sure the others would love to be able to accompany you outside to what will be another safe happy place for you. I so wish I had that magic wand or windmill.
Apart from the odd bit of shopping, walk and gardening I have not been out much. Too much on my mind so finding things wee bit difficult.
Hopefully once my family member has test (I have a feeling they will all be positive) and some of the worry about my child goes then maybe just maybe I can move on a little.
Nice to see we have couple of new friends on the forum.
Changing the subject - has anyone ever had bletheritis?
Well its nice to get back on to chat with you all and I will eventually catch up.
flowers for all x

Anniebach Thu 20-Aug-20 22:03:33

Joyce I didn’t fear what people said about me, I was tired of the same questions and comments about my darling daughter. This is a small town, and every one knows everyone, it was so
tiring.

Flutterby hello to our friend, x I am happy you are here tonight but sad that you have much worry . I think bletheritis is an itchy infection in the eye ? Most uncomfortable.

Hope all the tests of your family member will bring relief, worries about your child, I hope it passes soon, do take care of
you x

Doodle Thu 20-Aug-20 22:56:43

annie it’s easy to see how you came to be in your current situation. Just wish you had more help trying to get out now you feel you might want to.
bluesky good news about the COVID test. ?
joce glad you’re having a better day.
flutterby hope your family issues are resolved soon. I too am worried about my son and his family. Never stops does it.
Take care all and sleep well. x
