I have had a painful stiff toe for some years and just dismissed it as arthritis. It has steadily become worse although some days it isn't too bad. However, often I find it difficult to get my "sensible" Mary Jane Hotter shoes on without a lot of pain in my toe and some days find it quite difficult to walk. Having said that some days it isn't too bad. My GP some months ago suggested Ibuprofen which helps up to a certain point and I really should go back and see her. I have read on Mr Google about various treatments including fusion and wonder whether anyone else has experience of this.
