Hi all x
How are you all coping ?
Welsh Senedd Election - PR in action. This will be interesting!
support, understanding and sharing for all mental health
troubles .
Hi all x
How are you all coping ?
Doodle no word from the physiotherapist, she definitely said ‘between Christmas and New Year’, perhaps they are short
staffed or perhaps she forgot, wish she would come I am in such pain, hip, knee and sciatica .
How are you ? And how is your husband?
I hope everyone here is ok.
Annie I do remember you talking about snowdrops. I think they are lovely. So tiny and fragile but they come up in the cold weather to cheer us all up.
How are you doing? Any news from that physio woman yet ? x
What are the rest of you up to?
Hi all x
Some may remember last January I spoke of my love of
Snowdrops and how many years ago when I was in hospital in
a January a friend brought me a bunch of Snowdrops, he had dug in snow to pick them , just a small bunch but I thought if
something so small could survive then I could fight back too.
So on your walks look for Snowdrops and do say when you
see them
Annie you keep being let down by these services.
I suppose the time between Christmas and New Year many are on leave but the physio shouldn’t have promised it if she wasn’t going to turn up. Can you phone her and chase it up.
Scaredycat DH is improving thanks. He is missing his walks.
Glad you managed to get out even if it was raining.
HelloJoce try not to look at the long view at the moment. One day at a time and we will all get there. You are not alone, we are all in this together.
I too was wondering if you have a call system Annie .
Lucyanne how have you been today?
Chrissy, Nonnie, Nanny, Bluesky rafichagran and fanny hope you are all ok.
Sleep well all x
Hello all.. Annie it’s so bad they keep making you promises just to let you down.. how are you supposed to manage.
Do you have a buzzer to get help if needs be, my mother in law had one that she could have round her neck or wrist..
please take care... hugs x
How’s everyone else doing?
I’m trying very hard not to let this lock down get to me, but it is so so hard... ?
Scaredycat you are doing well with your walks, yes it is nerve racking fear of falling , if I fell I haven’t idea where I
would have to go for a check for broken bones, plus I could be
on the floor for hours waiting for help to get up. Am hoping the strapping will support my knee, if the physiotherapist brings it. Sending you a hug x
Good afternoon friends.
Nanny- good luck with the new job do hope you get your interview. Binks is obviously feeling contented and confident now so hence the lack of thumps!!
Annie - I haven,t had a walk for 2 days the weather has been truly awful so today we have just been out in equally awful weather but we just needed to get out. Thank goodness for proper waterproofs!!
So sorry you haven’t had your promised physio visit. I hope they see you soon and sort you out a supportive knee pad. It must be very distressing to always be scared of falling. Sending a hug.
Lucyanne- Hello. Sorry you have had a tough time for so long I hope 2021 brings better times for you.
Rafichagran- glad you were able to rest after your busy day back at work. Sounds like you have to work extremely hard- take care.
Doodle- hope you and DH are having a good day and he continues to improve.
Love to all in BDGx
Hi all x
I am so fed up, physiotherapist said she would visit between
Christmas and New Year to fit a knee support , nothing .
Fear of falling increases anxiety
Hello lucyanne so sorry you have had a rough 4 months,
remember we are here for you and each other.
rafichagran you got through it , good for you ?
I think all here live in England, ooops not all ??????? , we have been
in lockdown since December, hope no one is more anxious, if
you are do share here x
Well done rafichagran. Is it the quantity of work rather than the people which causes you such anxiety?
Thanks for asking about my work Annie and Doodle it was stressful but I got through it.
Very very busy, I did not have time to think. I am laying on the settee at the moment. I am so tired. Very long day.
I was thinking about you recently Lucyanne and wondering how you were.
I will certainly pray for you. No need to tell us what’s wrong but sorry to hear things have not been too good for you.
Have you managed to get out in your garden at all? I know the weather hasn’t really been up to much. Take care.
Hello Lucy, and welcome to the thread Fannycornforth. I find this one of the most welcoming helpful threads on Gransnet.
hello lucy xx
Hello all, popped in so you know I haven't forgotten your kindness + support. I wish you all a belated happy New Year. Had a rough 4 months life has been tough. Decided 2021 has to be a better year. Always a rainbow after every storm. For those of you that pray please say one for me. Love to all. X
Hello all. Grey and overcast here but no snow.
Joce a visit from your little man is bound to lift your spirits. How old is he now?
rafichagran hope work goes ok and you can relax a bit.
scaredycat unfortunately, we had a turkey breast joint, no bones. I used to love to make a stew with the bones carrots onions etc . So good to hear your sister is doing better. ?
Nanny that is good news about Binks and the job. I hope you get an interview too.
Annie that made me smile about the weather in Wales.
No sunshine here today, quite windy in fact. Staying in snug in the warm.
Take care all x

rafichgran hope your first day back at work is going ok x

Joyce great to hear you are feeling better x
Doodle you had sunshine , that yellow thing in the sky ?
I remember it seeing it. Reminds me when I watched’ I’m a
Celebrity’ last month, the little insects talking, one asked
‘What’s the weather in Wales like in summer?’ reply -
‘The rain is warmer’ . ?
Scardeycat and BlueSky , keep going for walks ? ?
doddle it wasnt deep but it was very heavy. but I drove very very slowly. then when I got to the next county it was minimal...(i live right in between two counties not as far apart as it sounds )
I have a tiny bit of positive news...Binks hasnt thumped me for 2 days and...I applied for a new job and I got a message today asking for a bit more info as thursday they decide who gets a video interview...i so hope i get an interview
FannyCornforth hello welcome to a lovely group of people xxx
Hi,everyone.
Rafichagran- I,m sorry that you are suffering with anxiety at the thought of returning to work tomorrow. I hope that you work with nice people and that it isn’t them that cause you to feel like this. Overthinking goes hand in hand with anxiety - I would love to switch my brain off at the moment too, you are right it is exhausting.
Doodle- Glad you had a nice day yesterday. What a happy positive image you posted like a Xmas card! Well done polishing off the Turkey- Turkey soup?
Joce- I hope the new baby is doing well and thriving enjoy your time with him. It is hard not seeing the little ones but also hard not seeing all the big ones too!! There are a lot of us over thinkers here aren,t there.
Nanny- well done driving in the snow it’s very nerve wracking isn,t it. I remember once getting off the ferry and having to drive home in someone else’s tracks in the dark. Very scary. Nice for you that your GD loves cats like you do. We are a cat family too.
Bluesky- horrible weather today so,it’s a bit of a slob day .
Annie - I,wish you, could go,for a walk too but hopefully by next Summer you, will have your wheelchair and given time will be able to get outside. My positive is my sister is doing so well and each week on Face Time she looks so much better .
Hi FannyCornforth- good to meet you.The longer this situation goes on it,is definitely becoming harder to deal with. You have done so well up til now and I hope you will feel you have some support here.
Hope everyone on BDG enjoys the rest of this Sunday take care all.xxx
I have been struggling think that’s why I asked if any one had read the BBC new on the vaccine.. for some reason it’s started to worry me.
Annie a positive feeling better today, also seen my new little man, he’s coming on a treat..
Hope you have all had a good day. ?
Nanny I hate driving in snow. Is it very deep?
Nice to have a chat with your DGD. Yes I think she must have developed her love of cats from you ?
Bluesky no the vaccine won’t help with other problems but perhaps if we can meet up with family again it might improve things. Be nice to think so.
Annie my positive is the sun is shining here. The sky is blue and I can see people walking by in their bobble hats. Children on their Christmas scooters and bikes. DH is feeling a bit better. We’ve finished the turkey ?
Hello Fanny nice to have you with us. You are most welcome to join us. We are all in the same boat here. The fact you have coped so far is good news. I think Christmas heightened the anxiety for some of us.
Hello scaredycat, Chrissy joce rafichagran and all the BDG. Hope you have a good day. x
Thank you Annie I really do appreciate that. I hope that we all find, or even make, some positives today
