Mostly in the UK we call them pelvic floor exercises.
Needing to empty your bladder at night as you get older is a function of many changes, and not just because of a poor pelvic floor. But we should all do pelvic floor exercises in some form or another.
You can simply look up how to do them, without any 'aids'.
You can use weights / balls or similar.
A specialist physio can show you how to use a device that you can connect to your smartphone so that you can see how the 'squeezing' is going.
Whatever suits you best - but I would warn that if you are not used to doing the exercises (I have done them daily since I was 20) then you don't always get them quite right - that is when a session with a physio can help.
