Morning all, had a full day yesterday stressful but today’s another day... keep plodding everyone, hope todays a good peaceful day for us all...
?
Hi all x
iPad only charging to 17%. Hoping new one Friday.
No blinds, no new doors, iPad about to cut off,
Hugs to all x
Hi Doodle, yesterday seems to have been a non BDG day for a lot of us. My day was planned and went haywire, nothing dramatic just not to plan. Today we intend to visit an English Heritage site and, hopefully, meet up with old friends outside.
Hope everyone is OK.
Quiet in here tonight. I hope that means everyone is ok.
We’ve had an exhausting day. Putting up pictures and food shopping. Lockdown has certainly taken its toll on our energy levels and fitness. I can’t believe how tired I get these days compared with that I used to be able to do. Do people get old suddenly do you think?
Annie any news of your blind or doors? Hope you don’t have to wait too long.
Take care all.x
I can’t thank you enough for all your kind words and I will come on here regularly to post…..????
Shinamae you are always welcome here.
Nonnie I too don’t usually suffer from tummy problems but maybe you’re right and something is going round. It often happens when children go back to school. My son wasn’t well last week either. I am much better today so hope fully a short lived thing. Have you been out today? Been a lovely day here, warm and sunny.
Annie apart from having a poorly iPad, how are you feeling now? Are you getting a new one? Any new on the blind man (if you see what I mean) ?
Hi all x
Either new battery for iPad or new iPad ! ! ! !
Hi Shinamae and welcome. It is good that your doctor is monitoring you so closely because, if you do have colon cancer, it will be caught early. I have two friends, one who refused to do the home test, who both had treatment and are now fine some years later. In the case of one of them it spread to her liver and she is still fine about 6 years later. Think it mush be one of the treatable ones.
Annie sleep is good, we heal when we sleep.
Ellie Anne sometimes a good weep makes you feel better, hope it did.
Just wondering if there is a tummy thing going around. Mine is only minor but I don't usually get things like that.
Thank you all very much for your very kind words they are much appreciated ????
Hello all. Feeling a bit better today although tummy is still a bit delicate.
Nonnie glad to hear you had a good time with your family. Mine are busy too. Nice when we get a chance to be together.
Joce sorry you missed your afternoon in the garden. I love to sit and read for a while without feeling guilty about the housework.
Shinamae welcome. Not surprised you are anxious. Waiting for test results is an upsetting time. I am sorry to hear you lost your brother at such a young age, The important thing is that you are being checked out. The sooner things are investigated the better it is. I hope you there is nothing bad happening but you are right to be tested. Hope all goes well for you and please post on here whenever you feel like it.
Annie sorry you haven’t been feeling well either. It’s very exhausting when you don’t feel well. You’ve had so much going on recently I’m not surprised you are feeling a bit poorly. Hope you feel better soon. So sad about your sisters. I can’t understand why they are being like this. With all you’ve been through you would think they would have some compassion.
rafinchagran saw you popping your head round the door. Hope things are going well for you.
Ellie Anne a walk by the sea is good for you. Sometimes joyful sometimes melancholy but the fresh air will do you good. I wish things were better for you at home.
Have you got any plans for this week that might cheer you up?
Scaredycat hope you are having a good time.
Sleep well all.x
Annie Doodle how are you both with your tummies hope you are both feeling better today
Shinamae people on here are very kind.
I’ve been for a long walk today . It’s been sunny and the sea looked lovely.
Still struggling with things at home and have been very weepy today.
That’s sad about your sisters Annie.
I only had one sister but she died of breast cancer ages 54.
I can’t say we had a very close relationship but it was very sad.
shinamae you will get alot of support here. This is a good thread if you have problems or concerns.
Welcome Shinamae you will find support on hear lovely caring people.
Annie, so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband and thank you for your kind words ?
Hi all x
Welcome Shinamae all here will understand your concerns,
waiting to have tests then waiting for the results, so much stress.
You brother died of bowel cancer, I am sorry, it’s natural you have a fear of it. My husband died in car crash in 1976 and even now my stomach churns when my grandchildren are in their cars.
The poo stick test was negative so that’s a positive . Do talk here as often as you want to, x
Doodle I had tummy upset Friday and Saturday, I was exhausted, slept most of yesterday.
Am sure Scaredycat is having a lovely weekend with her sister. I miss my sisters , haven’t seen them for over 4 years and
we live in the same town!
How is everyone?
First time posting on here but black dog is nipping at my heels as I have to get tested for bowel cancer,my brother died of it in 2003 at the age of 49 so naturally I am concerned I’m not sleeping…I have had three colonoscopies, the last one was three years ago but I am now getting symptoms, I’m seeing my doctor on Friday and he is arranging for another sort of test it’s not a colonoscopy
but I do forget the name of it… I did do the poo stick test couple of months ago and that came back negative but I’m not sure they are totally reliable anyway it has helped to put it on here thank you for reading
Doodle do hope you are feeling better today, and had a good nights sleep..
Nonnie we have rain here errr, thought I would maybe get a relaxing afternoon in the garden with a book, doesn’t look like that’s going to be for me now..
Scaredycat hope you have had a fantastic tine with you sister.
Annie how are you today...
Have a good day everyone ?
Doodle hope you had a better night last night and that your tummy is better.
Good news from the family is always cheering.
Looks like a nice day here but think I will stay in and be lazy, been a busy week. This week is also going to be busy.
Yesterday DS & DiL took me out to somewhere I hadn't been for years. I love that they live near enough for us to do things like this. They work long hours and most Saturdays so it was good they had a day off.
Evening all. Had a bad night last night. Really awful tummy ache for some reason, so was awake a long time. Feel as though I’ve been in the wars today. Feeling better now but my stomach muscles hurt when I move.
Lovely message from DS today saying DGD settled in well at uni.
Hope all the gang are ok and have head a good day. Early night for me to catch up on some sleep I hope.
Take care all x
Scardycat so happy you will see your sister, have a great time.
Doodle I disagree, I think it was very brave to 'face your demon' like that. It takes a lot of courage and, as you say, determination.
Never been up a Swiss mountain but did have a wonderful experience and great assistance at a hotel by lake Geneva. I came away thinking what lovely people the Swiss are.
Joce you are so right. Nothing beats a new baby in the family ?. Don’t give up hoping Joce Switzerland is definitely worth a visit, I would love to go again but don’t think flying is our thing anymore.
Annie I too missed out on a lot in the early years of my claustrophobia. When I decided to tackle it I persuaded DH to take me to New York and we went to the top of the World Trade Centre. I was so scared I was shaking. Was I brave, no not really just determined. The brave one was my DH who went with me, knowing that at any point my panic could set in and he would be left with a hysterical woman trying to claw her way out of the lift. Fortunately, it didn’t come to that.
So sorry you didn’t get to see the Turin shroud.
Any news on the blinds yet?
Scaredycat you certainly are brave. I wouldn’t drive in Europe. I hardly drive in this country. I would be far to scared to drive in another one. You and Annie are brave to consider it.
Oh how lovely to be able to see your sister after such a long time. Enjoy yourselves.
Take care all x
Evening all. Doodle that’s is just how I imagine Switzerland to be so fresh and clean .. my daughter was going to go with me before we got locked down then she had our beautiful baby, so maybe we will have to wait for a while now... he’s worth it I must say...
scaredycat hope you enjoy your time with your sister enjoy.
Annie that’s sad what a shame..
I have flew over the Alpes and I thought that was amazing...
may yes one day I will see Switzerland ?
Have a good evening all ?
