A wheat bag that works properly

I'm not sure I can explain this, and the fact I'm in a lot of pain doesn't help.
I use a wheat bag heated in the microwave for pain. The wheat goes to one end. It's impossible to put it comfortably against your back and lie back on it, knowing the bag and heat is evenly distributed. Sorry, its difficult to explain. A bit like a duvet without quilting. Does anyone know where I can get one that is divided into segments that actually works?
thanks

Maybe you could sew some lines of running stitches to hold the wheat evenly, effectively quilting it?

I was given a lavender bag , that is divided by rows of stitching.
Could you make tacking stitches in rows, that might help solve the problem?
Someone no doubt will come along with a sensible solution for you.
Best wishes for your poorly back.

Yes, I have thought maybe I could stitch it, (on a good day) if I can't actually buy one. I don't know why they aren't made like that.

Interesting Auntieflo.

Thanks

I made one like a long sausage with tapes at each end. When I have had a bad back I heat it in the micro then tie it around my waist so the heat is just in the right place. I also have square ones for cold bedtimes.

I have a gel one that works really well the gel is thick and doesn’t separate when it’s heated can also be frozen for a cold compress.

I have an electric heated pad which I can use on various parts of the body, ideal for backs and knees.

My wheat/lavender bag is languishing in the bottom of the ironing basket!

I have a heat pad that wraps around my middle (Or wherever you want it to wrap around) a bit like a corset with Velcro. They have them in Lidl quite often.

I have bought lots of different kinds of wheat bag for DH, all from Amazon.
One is exactly like you seem to be after.
It's about one metre in length, divided into five or six sections and can be wrapped around one's back.
It's thinner at the ends than in the middle, which is a about 20cm deep.
It fits in the microwave.

I have ordered gel pads. I would like electric but they all seem so big and I have only limited energy to keep searching. (Hope this pain eases soon)

Tanith got some gel packs that are very comfortable. Thank you.
