I was 80when I had mine , my surgeon told me he had a patient of 90 who was back to walking with her rambler club

My mum had a new hip in her early 80’s. She was a new woman after it and she looked years younger, with the relief from the awful pain she’d had. That’s about twelve years ago and it’s still going strong, as is she. Good luck!

I am sorry to hear this. I am sure that someone with experience of hip replacements in people over 80 will be along soon.
