I urge you all to try Jason Mouthwash from your local health food shop. It’s fabulous with no alcohol. Really refreshing.

I have started oil pulling again. It makes my mouth feel so clean and after a while it seems to make my teeth whiter, it gets rid of stains I think. I dispose of it in a tissue and put it in the bin. It's called oil pulling because you swish and pull the oil between your teeth. You can use sesame oil if you prefer. My dentist suggested I use it before be because I have a really dry mouth overnight. That seems to work. The only drawback is obviously you can't talk when doing it. If you think you might gag just use a little bit of oil.

I tried it with coconut oil after reading a thread on here a year or so ago.
Imposs to keep up for the recommended 15 mins (!) but liked the effect it had on my teeth which did feel super-clean afterwards.
Great drawback was not being supposed to spit it out in the basin because of getting the waste pipes greasy. I couldn't work out how else to dispose of it so gave up.

Why pulling ? Seems a strange name

Elegran
It’s literally swishing an oil ( I used coconut) round your mouth just as you would with mouthwash.
A while back it was a thing
I was probably having some dental problems when I tried it.
It’s just a poncy name for something that people do every day.

I am not sure I know exactly what this entails, but using oil for anything to do with my teeth or mouth would have me retching.

Research showed that using mouthwash got the same result.
Lots of info on the net.

I think I’ve read about this on here before but would like to know a bit more about it.
Does anyone practice this?
