Changing surgeries in the nhs

If shes been deducted from her previous gp thats because the new one has requested her record ....asper my previous post ....why the scaremongering?????‍♀️

It will take a couple of weeks, I’m sure.
I really do hope they accept you as a patient. They can refuse to accept you if their list is full, or you live out of their catchment area.
There are private GPs as well, but I don’t know how much they charge. Good luck !

You have been deducted from your previous gp practice list as you are now a patient at your new practice ( new practice will have requested your records as such) ...very much doubt they will inform you in this day and age

I recently filled in an online form asking to change my GP surgery to another in the town. (My reasons are a short saga and I'll go into them at a later date)
The following day I received an email from my current practise saying I had been removed from their data base, and another saying they were no longer responsible for my health care.
But I have not been informed whether my preferred new surgery has accepted me so am currently no longer on any NHS doctor's list.
How long does this procedure usually take?
