EllieAnne What a terribly upsetting dream. You have a lot of worries lately with your own health and your friend's too. I'm sure this will have something to do with the bad dream and your anxieties. Hope you have a good day today.
HVDY Best to ignore my previous posts as I've got myself in a right old muddle! Obviously depression causes a LACK of motivation, not the other way round. ?

Doodle Wed 08-Jun-22 11:51:13

HVDY sorry you feel you are wishing your life away. A common feeling I think. When you are depressed or worried it’s difficult to find joy in things.
Try looking for something small each day. A meal or TV programme. So many feel like you (and me) at the moment. I think Covid and all the troubles of the world have drained us.
Pleased you had a good time with your friend.
Ellie Anne I sometimes have dreams that stay with me long after I wake up. They can’t be shaken off and can bring you down the rest of the day. Sorry you had such an upsetting one.
Hope your friend is ok and the hospital can help.
I don’t eat biscuits much now…..eat one and just carry on.
Having said that, if it brings you any joy then carry on ?
Sweetpeasue hope you are doing ok. I don’t think I’m depressed at the moment more anxious and worried which has pretty much the same effect.
Annie hope you’re back with us soon and the internet problems get sorted.

HowVeryDareYou Wed 08-Jun-22 11:59:36

Doodle Thanks. I've got nice things in my life (and good people) but haven't yet found my niche - I need to get some hobbies. Hope your worries are resolved soon

EllieAnne It's unsettling to have nightmares. I hope your day is brighter.

SweetpeaSue It was good that you managed to get out the other day. I hope you have another good day today.

I was up at 5! Then 5.30, 6.15, 6.45, unable to get back to sleep, then 7.15 (then stayed up). Had my hair done at 9 (the 1st customer iN there) and went to Asda. Just been told I'll continue getting my ESA (a huge £77 weekly but it helps) so that's been good news.

Sweetpeasue Wed 08-Jun-22 13:09:20

Apologies but I'm so very low. Deep bladder pain and lowback pain feel terrible. Had another urine test, clear so no infection yet pain continues. Had to take Oramorph. Something is going on but no one seems to know what. I don't understand I want a life back. Was hoping to have grandson after school 1 day this week but everything on hold again. Both my aunt and uncle have died in last 6 weeks and don't think I'll be able to attend funeral of aunt either this week. Very depressed. I spoke to her on phone before she died but wasn't able to visit. If Dr's can't find what's wrong they will think it's 'in my mind' but it's bloody well not! Sorry everyone. I'm just tired of pain and can't see an end to it all. I just want a life and some hope now. Im not a perfect person. I know there are many who are worse off. Its just what I'm feeling right now.

Doodle Wed 08-Jun-22 14:45:00

Sweetpeasue I’m so sorry you are in pain again. I too am at a very low point. Very anxious and stomach churning. Different reason but similar feelings.
Hang on till you get your tablet trip then back to the GP I think and keep asking till you get some help. A second opinion.
So sorry about your aunt and uncle, that must upset you a lot.
The pain is wearing you down. Not surprising. None of us are perfect but we all want some peace. Hope things improve soon.
HVDY good you have nice people and a loving family too.
Do you have anything that interests you, sewing, knitting, cooking etc?

Sweetpeasue Wed 08-Jun-22 16:04:02

Doodle Oh I'm sorry you too are feeling very low. I'm sending you lots of good wishes and prayers. Thinking of you and hope things will look up soon.
Annie Hoping you are OK and you're not still having your techy problems. Thinking of you too.

HowVeryDareYou Wed 08-Jun-22 18:45:30

Sweetpeasue Sorry to hear of your problems. It's probably been said before, but does cutting out caffeine make any difference? It did to me, massively so, because I used to have terrible bladder pain. I don't get it any more. Sorry to hear about you not being able to have your grandson.

Doodle. I'm not very domesticated grin. What I need is to get out of the house more (but I've got nobody much to go out with, they've all got their own lives). Hope your anxiety eases soon. It's horrible, isn't it?

Sweetpeasue Wed 08-Jun-22 20:37:12

HVDY Thankyou for the suggestion about caffeine. When I first started with Interstitial Cystitis I tried cutting out coffee completely but it made no difference. However the pain now is different to that condition. Hope you have a good day tomorrow.
Wishing all a peaceful night.

rafichagran Wed 08-Jun-22 21:08:06

HVDY I am sorry you are wishing your life away. I di it as well and I know I should stop.
Sweetpeasue I am sorry you are in pain.
Annie hope your internet is fixed soon.
Doodle and any others I have missed I hope you are feeling better. Take care.

Sweetpeasue Wed 08-Jun-22 22:14:40

Rafichagran Thankyou. I do hope your own pain is much better and you are beginning to have some ease with your own problems too. I know you have suffered.

Anniebach Thu 09-Jun-22 09:40:48

Hi all x

Had rather a lot of stress for 4 days, I was on and off the internet, paid BT £7.99 a day, don’t understand much about the
Internet, was advised I had no protection for anything I did on
line, I didn’t post here for that reason, wanted to protect Black
Dog. Yesterday enough was enough, rang supplier and said I was going public on line to warn people not to trust ‘emergency support assurance’ with supplier, an engineer arrived an hour later ! My payments to BT is back in my bank account.

The fault was caused by ? yes the council, when new front door
was fitted they nicked the line coming into the bungalow, rain had seeped into the line, new line fitted from telephone pole into bungalow, explains why I have had internet problems for ages.

Carer due, will be back later to chat to you all. Have appointment with dietician this morning, he isn’t going to be a
happy bunny and need to talk to grandchildren, much distress
caused by my Mini Tornado

Some here are very troubled, sorry I couldn’t speak to you, prayed for you x

Sweetpeasue Thu 09-Jun-22 15:32:03

Annie £8 a day, that's outrageous! Good for you, not putting up with such bad service. You'd have thought after all this time the problem would have been identified. You shouldn't have any further problems, thank goodness. You must be well and truly sick of your local council. Sorry there are problems with family. Hope you can sort it and it's not too stressful.

Doodle Thu 09-Jun-22 19:23:07

Well I definitely posted earlier but nothing here now.
Sweetpeasue thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers. Another day of wobbles but I had a nice lunch and afternoon with a friend.
HVDY have you thought about U3A or a local walking group. No use to me I can’t walk that far but I know others who have enjoyed a local walk about.
Rafichagran nice of you to pop in again. Hope things are ok for you.
Annie what a hassle. Unbelievable that your new door could cause such a problem. Thank goodness they found the source of your internet troubles. Glad you got your money back.
Thank you for your prayers, thinking of others as always.
Sorry if you have trouble with your DGC. I know how much you love them all. Sorry There is upset. Hope it’s resolved soon.x
Take care all x

HowVeryDareYou Thu 09-Jun-22 20:43:20

Doodle I can only walk about 200 yards before I need to rest. I've just joined U3A, and intend to go to a meeting next Friday, so I'll see what happens there. Glad you enjoyed some time with your friend for a while.

Anniebach What a palaver! I'm glad you got it sorted out. Sorry you've got some upset with your GC. I know they all mean a lot to you. How did things go with the dietician?

Hope everyone else is alright today.

I went to the day centre, had a nice few hours. I chose not to have lunch there (Hunter's chicken then chocolate sponge and custard) because I knew Son2 had offered to cook us dinner. He came round with all the ingredients and cooked us all a delicious chicken curry (not a jar of Patak's to be seen grin) from scratch.

HowVeryDareYou Fri 10-Jun-22 16:43:18

How has everyone been today?

It's been warm and sunny, although windy, here all day. It's been good to see the sunshine.

Hope everyone has had not too bad a day x

Sweetpeasue Fri 10-Jun-22 17:04:50

HVDY Same here-warm, sunny and windy. After bad night have had a pretty reasonable day Had to go to Dentist after a filling hadn't settled so hoping that after a bit of faffing today it'll be OK. I always think the worst when I go but it's never as bad as what I imagine! Hope you've had a reasonable day and everyone else is OK.

Doodle Fri 10-Jun-22 17:20:32

Flying visit. Got visitors coming soon and I’m still tidying up ?. Hope all are well. Be back later

Sweetpeasue Fri 10-Jun-22 18:00:57

Hellooooo--goodbye.......
Nice to see you Doodle!

Ellie Anne Fri 10-Jun-22 18:17:57

Went for a walk this afternoon with a group I found on fb. Was supposed to be 4 miles and flat but was more like 5 and quite hilly. But enjoyed being somewhere different and met some new people. Think I was the oldest there but wasn’t the slowest . Helped take my mind off things. Friend still seriously Ill in hospital and son having terrible financial problems again. Thinking of you all and hoping you are ok.

Sweetpeasue Fri 10-Jun-22 18:49:22

Oh I'm so pleased EllieAnne I hope you made some friends. It sounds like you enjoyed it. I hope your friend improves, it must be awful knowing she is so poorly. I'm sorry about your son's predicament too. We always worry about them don't we, even when they're adults. I think there will be a lot of people feeling the squeeze financially in these uncertain times. Take care of yourself EllieAnne and glad you had a good day.

Doodle Sat 11-Jun-22 00:30:46

Visitors just left. ?. I’m off to bed. Back tomorrow x sleep well all

Anniebach Sat 11-Jun-22 10:23:04

Hi all x

Ellie Anne great you found a walking group to join, will there
be regular walks ? x

HVDY you have joined U3A, I do hope you will find things of
interest x

Sweetpeasue the tests may show the cause of your pain x

Doodle much love x

Rafichagran please, please don’t wish your life away , to quote- ‘Where there’s life there’s hope’ x

I love butterflies and read the following this week -

‘When the caterpillar thought her world was over she became a
butterfly’ .

How is everyone?

HowVeryDareYou Sat 11-Jun-22 14:44:39

SweetpeaSue Hope all went well at the dentist's.

EllieAnne Glad you have made some new friends and enjoyed the walk. I think we all worry about our children, even though they're very grown-up.

Doodle Nice that you had visitors. You had a busy time then.

Anniebach How was the appointment with the dietician?

Rafichagran Hope that your day is brighter today.

It's windy and a lot cooler here, today. Son1 and his girls are out for the day, so we'll see them later, at teatime. I've been getting the washing and ironing up-to-date, as my husband and I are going to have a few days in Yarmouth, going on Monday morning. It'll be a break.

Hope everyone is getting on alright x

Doodle Sat 11-Jun-22 17:33:01

Sorry I didn’t pop in more yesterday. We had visitors in the evening till Beyond midnight. They were good company and we had a nice chat.
HVDY we can’t walk far either now but we do manage about 2 miles albeit very slowly. What have you chosen to do at U3A?
Hope you enjoy it. I know a few people who are involved in that.
I’m glad you enjoyed your sons meal it sounds delicious. Mind you I would have been tempted with the chocolate sponge and custard ? Hope you have a lovely time in Yarmouth and the weather is good. Relax and enjoy yourself.
sweetpeasue hope the trip to the dentist went ok.
Hope your evenings improve and the pain goes away. Do you have any TV or radio programmes that you enjoy to keep your mind occupied.
Ellie Ann well done for making the effort and joining in a walk. Glad you enjoyed it and the exercise would be good.
I hope you get to meet up with them again soon.
Sorry about your friend and your son’s money worries. I know if he is worried, you will be too. That’s the way we are isn’t it.
I hope things get better for him.
Annie how are you? Yet again a lovely saying from you.
Life has been difficult for you recently. Have your problems with MT and your DGC been resolved.
Im still plodding on worrying about things but hoping for good news.
Have a good weekend all x

Anniebach Sun 12-Jun-22 09:56:14

Hi all x

Doodle I loved the saying of the butterfly. Worries over my
Mini Tornado have increased. Thinking of you x

HVDY my appointment with the dietician didn’t go well, he was so kind but can’t give me more support. I cannot live on
sandwiches and toasties. Physically impossible to put food in
oven or microwave, only have use of thumb and forefinger on
right hand, i am left handed ! He was annoyed that I would have to pay for someone to cook for me, I can’t even use a knife. Yes i am very upset but have to accept it .
Enjoy your visit to Yarmouth x
