I hope everyone on BD is getting on ok and has had a decent day. I went to the day centre - had missed the past 2 weeks, so it was good to see everyone there. I tried to get some petrol just now at Asda but 2 of the pumps I tried weren't working properly, so I gave up (I'll go in the morning). x

Am not a happy bunny, been waiting weeks for the physiotherapist, telephoned surgery yesterday, they asked me to telephone this morning to speak to a doctor , did so and got
a call back, the doctor who had said she was referring me to
physiotherapist referred me to the occupational therapist who
caused the damage to my ankle ! The doctor i spoke to this
morning is referring me to a physiotherapist, so another wait and stuck on sofa. AND ‘it isn’t raining in Mid Wales’

Joce345 I'm sorry you're still having anxiety and worry. Wish I had the right words to help but sometimes it can be of help just knowing someone has heard and cares. Life is so hard and it does seem that some can manage to juggle so many concerns,though everyone has their own share of hard times. You would not have posted if you didn't want someone to hear. Just to let you know I'm thinking of you and willing you to get through this present anxiety. As you say, you will turn the next corner. ?x

Wish I could talk about my anxiety and worries, I can’t I don’t know why it’s how I am, and I know I there’s always someone hear to listen.

Annie How terrible about the person in sister in law's fam taking their life. It must be a huge shock for them and a big upheaval of so many feelings and memories. I'm so sorry Annie. Also that your daughter couldn't visit. That's a big disappointment for you, especially when you were so looking forward to it. I think the heat certainly does have an affect on anxieties and worries. That sort of heat was shocking, I couldn't have envisaged it until I actually felt it. It must have been dreadful for you to have to wait for carers to have simple things like having cold compresses and drinks.
Scaredycat You were so right. Book class did help to take mind of worries and someone asked me for coffee that I see there. There's a little wooden cafe over the road on grass facing the sea with tables outside and it was calming. I was worried but it went well. Your poor nephew! How awful. He must be in such pain. I hope you're right and his brother and sister can help out. Thankyou for your kind words.
HVDY Hope you feel fully better soon. A v busy afternoon for you. It will be lovely to see your gd in a play. You'll be exhausted by the end of the day. Hope it won't be too much.
Doodle It's good of you to keep in touch. Sounds like it's been so difficult too with Internet connection. Do enjoy yourselves and glad you've missed this heatwave.

Was worried my tummy was going to spoil everything before I left for class as was churning so much with one thing and another but it behaved thank goodness. I'm sorry I passed my anxieties on. I will keep having this till sorted. Best not to look too far ahead.

Anniebach I, too, am looking forward to some rain (it's very grey here and 20 degrees) Son1 has gone with some friends to Son2's for a BBQ, so I hope it doesn't rain just yet. I've found that my depression hasn't been too much of a problem recently, but the dreadful anxiety is ever-present - little things like which route to take/getting jobs done at home/the GCs and family/every damned thing.

ScaredyCat Thank you. My GD is fairly tall (4ft 10) and nice-looking (unlike me, she's got absolutely beautiful teeth). The play was great and all the kids did well. I always cry at those things so had to keep trying to think of something else . Worrying news about your nephew. Does a broken hip require surgery? They won't send him home without help/a care package unless his siblings can help out.

I hope everyone on BD manages to have a restful night. I overdid it on the Pimm's last night and slept for 6 hours . I'll limit myself to 1 glass in a bit x

SweetPeaSue- I,m glad you have been able to share your feelings with us - it’s not wrong we are your friends.
I think you have coped and are coping remarkably under what what must be such confidence shattering,worrying,frightening and hurtful circumstances. Such continuous stress is awful for you.
Hopefully the Book Club will take your mind off things for a while- I wish you luck but I,m sure you will be fine.
EllieAnne- hope the sun is shining on you today.
Annie- I can’t imagine how uncomfortable the last few days have been for you. Yesterday was nearly unbearable.

HVDY- hope you are breathing easier today- we have a nice breeze which feels so much better. It got to 39 here yesterday and then lots of lightening and a bit of rain in the evening.
I do hope your sons house proceedings are not too complicated by recent happenings - such a stressful time for him although it’s also very sad that the lady passed away .
When I was able to drink We loved to share a jug of Pimms in the garden . Hope it helped you sleep.

My daughter is loving her cats but is nearly boiled as she can’t leave the doors or windows open yet . She was glad to go to the office yesterday to get in the air conditioning!! They are lovely though and very friendly - just not always to each other!

My sister phoned me yesterday .My nephew had a fall from about 7 feet and broke his hip and wrist and is in hospital. He lives alone so this is worrying her a lot - I,m worried she will overdo it trying to help him. She is the most selfless person ever. Still he has a brother and sister who can help too so hopefully it,ll be ok.

Has the very hot weather caused depression or anxiety for anyone? I found it caused my tummy to churn, most strange.

How is everyone today? I know it's much cooler (25 here) but I'm absolutely boiling hot. I don't feel 100% but always see the GDs on Wednesday - the eldest (11) is in a play, Peter Pan, and playing Tinkerbell. . I'll collect Son1, then pick up the girls and go to a park, then for an early pub dinner, then be back at the school for her to change into her costume for 5pm. Hectic.

First of all I need to be careful of what I say if I do have/decide to take things further as you'll understand. I did approach 2 different solicitors. One of them asked me to get back to them after the complaints meeting I had with manager and head Dr of dept. At that time I didn't know of the diagnoses of Adenomyosis that was discovered in an MRI I had as a reluctant agreement decided on at that meeting. I didnt get back to them as further deterioration in my mental health that culminated in a desperate act left me in no condition for fighting. The NHS is a powerful institution (oh, don't I know it) and I know cases need to be 'watertight'. A huge amount of 'watertight' cases are not accepted by solicitors and even when they are, long battles are exhausting. I can't rule it out at this stage. Much depends on the outcome of the investigation of my pains.

I haven't slept for last few days (sure most of us haven't last couple of days!) but pain has alleviated yesterday. I was concerned I couldn't attend book group as I made a stupid agreement to lead the group(not done this for over a year) Think most are aware I'm not comfortable doing this but people have always taken turns and I felt in an awkward position last time as many had done it multiple times and I felt bad so wish me luck! I'm really not up to it today as so weepy and I hope my tummy doesn't start. I can't back out now though it wouldn't have been possible on Monday the way I was.

I will think about what to do and who to contact later. Something has to be done about the late appt. The GP I usually see away this week. X

Sweet pea sue I felt so sad and angry reading your post.you’ve not been treated well and nobody seems to care. I agree about contacting someone about negligence and also raise it with your mp. When you are in constant pain mental or physical you have no quality of life . I’m thinking of you xxx

Sorry. I feel like I've no one to turn to. This rejection (which is def what it feels like) is taking me back to the time of Hysteroscopy when the Dr botched it. It was only meant to be a biopsy and thin womb lining. I'd had it done before. I knew what to expect. He tried to take out a fibroid, that was not causing problems anyway, thinking it was a Polyp, and couldn't even do that right.I only found this out much later after sending for my Medical Records and after suffering much pain and bleeding. You wouldn't believe the amount of covering up that went on. My formal complaints left me alienated and mentally wrecked by their gaslighting. Now I'm left with pain and huge question marks over what is wrong with me. They said 7 weeks from pos covid test before can have op. Have looked up British Association of Anaesthetists and found out more about this and the decision should be made with patient as there are other considerations. Even if it was 7 weeks, why will I now be waiting until October. I tested pos on 28th June? Sorry friends. It brings it all back. I'm worthless in the eyes of all. I did nothing wrong and now I'm being neglected. I can't tell you how lost and isolated and alone I feel. I'm tired of fighting. So sorry..

Sweetpeasue you’re not a miserly guts or childish. You are right. It is not fair. The NHS is struggling but it’s not your fault. You fight to get an appointment as soon as possible.

SweetpeaSue I first had Asthma when I was 36. I haven't smoked since I was 28. I get like this every time I have a cold, or the weather is hot or foggy. Son2 has had Asthma since 2 weeks old (38 now) so I know what's what. Not long now until your tests. I really hope that the hospital will get to the bottom of it all and sort out some proper treatment.

I rang Son2 earlier - the sale of his house is going ahead, and so was the purchase of the house he wants, but there's been a development - the vendor died suddenly the other day! Lady of about 50. Things are going to probate. It just goes to show that things can change from one day to another....

I've had several glasses of Pimms and lemonade (50/50 in a tumbler ) so I'm going to have another shower and go to bed soon. Hope everyone gets some rest x

HVDY Do hope the steroids work soon for you. It must be horrible to have breathing problems in this heat.
Thankyou, but afraid my pain isn't much better. I'm afraid of the long wait time for my hysteroscopy. The womb lining thickening so much and the post menopausal bleeding I had should be seen to more quickly than this. If I had endometriosis as well and it's that causing bowel problems I need to find out. I'm trying not to be anxious.
Scaredycat Hope you're OK today and have managed to stay cool somehow. If you have it's not too late to give us some tips to get through tonight--as long as it doesn't involve a trip to Scotland.

SweetpeaSue. Thanks. I've got 8 Prednisolone a day (often had 12 daily), for 5 days. It's already made a difference, so I reckon by Thursday I'll be fine. The GP asked me loads of questions, and wanted me to go and see her - I hate bothering the doctor unnecessarily - but I'm 63, know my own health, and know I'll be ok. How are you today?

It’s 23 degrees here. Just right for sitting out and doing a wee bit gardening.

Anniebach Oh, Annie, you must be miserable like that. Have you go any ice lollies or cold drinks? One tip I've seen is to have a hot water bottle filled with cold water. It's 37 degrees here today, so far. I sat with a wet teatowel around my neck earlier. All the blinds/curtains are closed. I got some steroids from the GP (telephone triage), so I hope they'll work soon.
