Any one else having symptoms after the Moderna Omicron Booster Vaccine?

I had both the Covid booster and Flu vaccines at the same time. Its now day 6 after and I'm still not feeling at all good.

The day I had the vaccines I went home and felt Ok apart from sore arms which is usual. Next day I slept non stop for the whole day. I couldn't keep awake. I was also a bit nauseous. I've been really tired since then and yesterday and today I feel dizzy and 'spaced out'. It's a bit like being drunk all the time... which I haven't been for over 40 years... but I remember the feeling!

I had Pfizer last times and no adverse reaction at all.

Has anyone else had these or any other symptoms after the combined or single vaccine?

I am a man and I had the Moderna as a fourth jab last April. Co-incidentally (perhaps) I started to experience haematuria and later, epistaxis (nosebleeds). Both are listed as not unheard of side effects especially with the AZ vaccine, but also with the mRNA types. Contraindications for Spikevax include 'any bleeding disorders' in the patient's history. I have had visible blood in urine before due to an enlarged prostate, but not for a long while until this year. Sudden unprovoked nosebleeds daily for three weeks or more is a new experience for me.
I am avoiding the fifth jab until, and unless, local infection rates rise significantly. It worries me that if idiopathic bleeds are possible, then are brain bleeds also possible?

Slight soreness at the injection site - quite normal for any vaccination in my case.

yikes, some really bad vax side effects. My dd had several dentistry cancellations today due to the side effects

However seeing my neighbour, fit and active 80 year old, he caught covid and has never been in so much throat pain. I am having covid vax next week and have my fingers crossed but paracetamol is handy and no appointments anywhere for a week. Thankful to have had the flu jab a week ago, my body has had time to adapt to that before the covid jab

One dd is having separate jabs and the other is having both at the same time

They are very specific
As with other intramuscular injections, the vaccine should be given with caution in individuals receiving anticoagulant therapy or those with thrombocytopenia or any coagulation disorder (such as haemophilia) because bleeding or bruising may occur following an intramuscular administration in these individuals.

DD3 had a very sore arm and armpit after the Moderna.

DH has the mother of all colds after the Pfizer.

My flu and covid jabs were spaced a week apart :

I felt headachy , body achy and a bit hot after the flu jab and ,certainly my arm was sore .

I had the Pfizer jab on Wednesday - a sore arm ensued then , the most violent headaches and an extremely upset stomach .
Thursday - the headache increased , I ran to the loo several times and then by the evening I felt so hot plus sick and dizzy - I felt as though I was going to fall over .

Today , I'm just tired and I feel like resting.

My friends think that I look like a ghost - white , cold and clammy .

I'd far rather have the jabs than the flu and covid !
I haven't had reactions to the flu nor covid jabs before .
I'm only felt slightly off .

That makes sense Jaxjacky, but epistaxis is a well known occasional side effect of the AZ vaccine, and also with mRNA classes too albeit less frequently. Likewise haematuria. I have no evidence of a connection but the circumstantial evidence is significant. Sufficient for me to be wary of repeating the exposure if local infection rates remain well below the national average as they currently are. I shall still have the 'flu vaccine however.

I am more or less confined to home currently as my Good Lady has just finished a course of radiotherapy for a breast cancer met on her sacrum and she's quite poorly as a result.

Incidentally and not vaccine related (I hope), there is a fear that a covid19 infection might reawaken dormant cancers. This article describes the phenomenon:

Just two sore arms for couple of days. Perhaps I also felt a bit lazy the day after plus I also had a front tooth extraction and a new bridge at same time. I’m pleased to be able to have such injections - small price to pay.

Ok with Pfizer but certainly felt “off” after Moderna on its own. Not too bad and lasted for 24 hours

I had the Moderna Omicron vaccination 10 days ago and was absolutely fine, just a sore shoulder. The flu vaccination I had the week before that was more painful.
That was my 5th vaccination and I have a mixture of all vaccines.

Because of problems with my left arm I had the flu and covid in the same arm same appointment. No problems not even a sore arm.

We have just had the flu and Phizer vaccines this morning awaiting the outcome.
We did have the laugh of the week though, after giving our names we were told to sit in the waiting room, and then a nurse came and shouted next please. No name, no one knew who was next. While someone went in we all shared times and arranged ourselves in order. I muttered musical chairs, DH had to say it louder and then some very funny people joined in. One said it was like a Care home another said they were getting us to practise for one and wasn't it coffee time? Where were the cakes and scones. The whole waiting room erupted and one lady asked the nurse for some music.
Last time a farmer with a crook made us all get into line properly and in time order.Just like his sheep.Thank gooness for humour.
My smile might be different tomorrow if I get symptoms.smile

I had the oddest side effect. The next day my scalp was so tender I could hardly touch it and for the following few days it was unbearably itchy. Weird, I know, but I do think it was connected to the jab.

Yammy Sun 09-Oct-22 10:03:08

I shouldn't have laughed yesterday. Today two very sore arms especially the Phizer covid jab one. I feel spaced out as if I am going down with the flu. The Dr .did warn us yesterday that we might. I can't lift my arm and even my legs are aching.
Serves me right for yesterday's joke.blush I thought as it was Phizer we would just have a sore arm at the injection site like last time. How wrong can you be?

ixion Sun 09-Oct-22 10:18:56

Pfizer booster yesterday (Mr. I had had Moderna) and have to report we are both perfectly fine, not even a hint of muscle soreness?‍♀️
Commiserations to all the sufferers, tho'.

Maybe I will get my come-uppance on Wednesday following the 'flu jab

Dorsetcupcake Sun 09-Oct-22 10:38:51

I had Pfizer yesterday. Slightly tender arm this morning but otherwise fine. Flu jab next week. Several people at clinic having both flu and covid jab. I wonder if it's flu jab that's causing issue or having both together? I never normally have reaction to flu jab so time will tell!

LindaPat Sun 09-Oct-22 10:46:57

I had the Moderna spikevax 2 weeks ago, no side effects.

Mr LP had the same last Friday. Ok through the day, but during the night he woke up violently shivering. I have never seen anyone shake from head to toe! Managed to get him back into bed ( he'd got up to go to the bathroom), turned his side of the electric blanket on, and waited anxiously till it stopped - about 10 mins.

Kept him in bed yesterday as he was very achey and tired, but he seems ok this morning. He's in the kitchen, batch cooking!

Take care everyone xx

I’m going to space mine out, as I’m still recovering from covid and flu.

So flu jab end Oct. then covid beginning of Nov, depending on how I react to flu jab.

JaneJudge Sun 09-Oct-22 10:50:59

I had an awful reaction to the Moderna vaccine and was in bed for days

JaneJudge Sun 09-Oct-22 10:52:06

Oopsadaisy1 Sun 09-Oct-22 10:52:53

We had the Moderna Booster on Friday morning, no side effects at all.

Jess20 Sun 09-Oct-22 11:27:24

hollysteers Sun 09-Oct-22 12:34:11

I had my flu jab weeks ago, no reaction. Covid booster yesterday and fell asleep in the chair and missed a show.
Today feel strange, off and staying in bed.

silverlining48 Sun 09-Oct-22 12:51:43

Had my 4 th booster ( Pfizer) yesterday midday. By the afternoon I was feeling unwell shivering yet ? coughing etc so went to bed, early.
Tested positive this morning, the first time for me and I thought I had got away with it .
Flew back from first holiday is over 3 years this week. No one wearing masks and wonder if with all the crowding I picked it up then. Will never know.
