Wyllow That's a good message you've taken from Home Alone. Youve just reminded me about the animation of The Boy..... I had to record it as I was posting on BD. Pleased it was good. I hope youre ok and not ailing for anything with the shivers. Thankyou for mentioning that special little girl Susan. I will certainly remember her tonight.

Annie I was hoping you’d have some company from other residents in your new home. I hope you are adjusting to being there. It must take some getting used to.
Having familiar things around you may help but I know some of the memories will be sad ones. Hope you have some rest from thé whatiferies now and have some peace of mind.

Annie Thankyou for those wise words. Oh you made that effort to post and lost it, how annoying. Well this one is much appreciated. Its not an easy one, by any means this acceptance thing.
That must have been extremely hard for you to decide what to part with, Annie. It must have been a huge task.
Sounds like you're in charge of your eating times that's excellent. I don't think that always happens so it must be such a nice place you have. I'm watching "Home alone" which is funny and reflecting its better to be alone than unhappy with someone. My "moving moment" was watching, "The boy, the mole, the fox, and the horse" which was all about love and kindness and that home resides in that.

Today's posts have been full of that as well as pain. I did go to the gym, had a sleep, and find myself too tired/shivery to speak to you all individually but my heart is here in this extra-ordinary thread where although we can't say everything we can say a great deal.

Its clearly going to be a tough time for many here I just hope we have some moments of happiness which sometimes can amount to freedom from anxiety awhile

Your summary is very wise, Annie thank goodness you are there

Probably New Years resolution will be to accept things as they are atm (like being able to DO very little indeed) and not to worry about saying "no" to things becuase of it.

anyway I'm more or less around all Christmas so see you next time you are "in".

btw, if you pop in the "good morning" thread, there is one very very poorly little grandchild of a poster called Susan needing us to hold him in our hearts and minds.

Hi all x another epistle vanished. So to the point.

1. The past is another country, we cannot change one second of it. We cannot change another person’s actions or thoughts in that other country.

2. We all have whatiferies, some can be torturous and cause lack of sleep, i have had a week of them, had to choose what to keep from my bungalow to have in my new home, they brought back memories of the other country and what I can never ,ever have again.

3. Not going anywhere, not seeing anyone, not doing anything ,
except for reading menus, choosing what to eat and the time I
wish to eat. 😀👍 x

I distract myself from thinking by doing jigsaws while listening to something nice like Evie Cassidy. A distraction concentrates your mind.

Must be the day for tears. For me it was the Christmas special of all creatures great and small that did it.

What are we like. Panic over the smallest thing. I keep telling myself I won’t do it but my mind takes over thinking the worst. I don’t suppose my son has any idea how anxious I get waiting to hear from him and I won’t tell him because he has enough to cope with.

Scaredycat you sound like me always thinking the worst has happened or is happening. We don’t eat salmon or any fish really. DH doesn’t like the smell of fish so can’t eat it.
Hope you are ready for Christmas. I have finished wrapping for tomorrow (still got some for Boxing Day. Cooked our turkey for home consumption and had our own little Christmas dinner. Really enjoyed it but very full up now.

Doodle What a horrid night you had. It sounded awful. You must be so relieved everything is ok. My eldest son didnt reply to my text yesterday and I was thinking all sorts but he'd forgotten to press send and only realised today! (they've had huge worry for the last yr) My state yesterday was exacerbated by worry about sending for med records again and all that stuff. I'm sure others must think me mad but its a huge decision of what to do and where it will lead and what my future health will be(will I bleed again/need Hystetectomy and is the growth he saw ok - - radiographer said 'most likely' benign) I just want to do the RIGHT thing.Trying not to overthink things. We all dont have the 'crystal ball' do we.Hope you and DH have a good day tomorrow.
Wyllow Your heart and mind is in turmoil and battling against each other. You must be exhausted and it will have a bad impact on your CFS. I
hope you managed to see some friends at Gym today. It can give our minds a break when we're diverted from worries and overactive thinking. Hope you can have. a peaceful night and day tomorrow before your meet up with ex.
HVDY You are bound to be worried, we just can't help worrying about them even now they're adults. In some ways it can be harder as we have to be on the side lines while they make their own decisions. Hope it will get resolved and it's all just a bit of nerves all round. You've had a busy day. Funny, I always like to have fresh sheet n duvet cover at Christmas( sounds like I only change it at Christmas 😱)
Scaredycat* Hope you sleep tonight with no churning or AF. I too remember always having tinned salmon at Christmas. Mum used to put vinegar in it which seems a little strange these days. Salmon spread/paste rest of year. Haha. Followed by butterscotch Instant Whip. Yum.
EllieAnne Its miserable for you to have a cold virus on top of everything else. I'm pleased your son and family are coming but hope you'll be ok. There's some awful cold viruses going around, I hope it wont last too long.

Done last minute dash this morning for gift I'd forgotten. Had nice walk in fresh northerly breeze but nice sunshine. Watched Its a Wonderful Life for zillionth time and blubbed like a baby, actually sobbed but it wasnt even at the end. Just pent up feeling. Had a decent day and wishing you all a peaceful night and day tomorrow. Xx
