According to an Oxford prof, 10% of us are larks (me), 25% are owls (MrB), and the rest are pigeons.

You?

Lark. Thankfully. Wouldnt want to be anything else.

Owl as always feel dreadful in the mornings even after an early night. Someone comes to me in the night and hits me over the head with a hammer…or it might be my heavy snoring taking it out of me.
Feel better as the day goes on and love the evenings which I stretch out.

Definitely an owl, especially since retiring. Glad to see I'm not the only one!

I have to read before I go to sleep!
DH wanders off halfway through the news but he does get up very early and does any ironing or pan-washing needed

I'm a pigeon, but what do you call someone who goes to bed early and gets up late? That's my DH!

I was all three whilst I worked in social care due to shifts that were never the same two weeks in a row. Since retiring, I am very definitely an owl.

Like Callistermon21 I am an owl married to a lark. I aim to be in bed by 1 00 but it is usually 2 00. DH goes to bed straight after the news at10.30. it is never too early in the morning for him to be awake and active. He usually sends the dog upstairs about 9.00 to wake me up but it is at least 11.00 before I am motivated to do anything. 😄

welbeck

what's stay in bed all day given half chance ?

I think that's called having a well-deserved rest!

MaizieD Wed 04-Jan-23 18:30:46

Definite Owl here. If I do force myself to get up early I wander round wondering what I'm meant to be doing.

DP is a Lark, which is OK because he brings me a steady stream of cups of tea in bed every morning. Just doesn't dare ask me questions grin

NotAGran55 Wed 04-Jan-23 18:27:00

Definitely a lark. Always awake by 5 o’clock all year round.

I'm a pigeon, but sometimes an Owl if something is on my mind. Never a Lark, except when I was working and it was a struggle even then!

Calendargirl Wed 04-Jan-23 18:23:13

Lark.

Theexwife Wed 04-Jan-23 18:20:27

Lucca my day doesn’t start until 10 am, I don't work, I don't do anything special or different just later than larks, even grocery shopping can be done at any time.

NotSpaghetti Wed 04-Jan-23 17:51:20

Always have been an owl.

MrsKen33 Wed 04-Jan-23 17:47:01

Lark, always awake by 6.

grandMattie Wed 04-Jan-23 17:16:21

Definitely a lark, in fact an extreme lark! Am awake and moving about by 0500!

MayBee70 Wed 04-Jan-23 17:06:39

I’m completely nocturnal. Always have been. Thankfully I only used to work in the mornings so I would get home and sleep for a couple of hours. And when the kids were teenagers it was always me that did the late night/early morning taxi service.

Owl, never go to bed before 3am.

Good heavens, what do you do until 3 a.m

AGAA4 Wed 04-Jan-23 16:49:08

Lark. Often wide awake at 5.30 😦

Theexwife Wed 04-Jan-23 16:38:35

Owl, never go to bed before 3am.

SachaMac Wed 04-Jan-23 15:59:59

Since retiring I’m more of an owl. I love staying up late to binge watch a series or finish a book. It’s great not having to set the alarm and get up at 6.30 everyday.

Thoro Wed 04-Jan-23 15:54:14

Lark, with a little help from my canine friends who want an early breakfast!

nightowl Wed 04-Jan-23 15:47:56

I think I’m a dormouse. Definitely not a nightowl anymore (though I used to work nights, hence the name) and never been a lark. Sit down, fall asleep, that’s me.

Mogsmaw Wed 04-Jan-23 15:30:39

Apparently I’m a giraffe, according to my Fitbit.
