HVDY it’s a yes from me! I know I haven’t been here very long but I know that you are a prolific member of the group, have always been extremely kind to me and know you are so very well thought of. I’m glad you’re back. Let’s hope that we can draw a line under all that’s happened and move on in a positive way. Glad you’re getting rid of all the work stuff - you can draw a line under all that now too thank goodness!
Sweetpeasue I think lots of people hate confrontation dont they? I’m not going to beat myself up about not having a hobby but it’s something I would like to have and I’m sure I’ll find something one day. I hope your husband’s headache gets better soon. Glad you saw your son and granddaughter. I’m sure it lifted you.
Doodle yes, a non working day for me. I look after my GS (age 7) on a Wednesday & Thursday. We love having him but also makes me a bit sad - my daughter has given up on having any more due to fertility issues and it makes me sad for him that he’s an only child. He would have loved a sibling and is sometimes a bit lonely. I love him so much. I’m sure you’re not really an old crock and we could all do more but we need to take care of ourselves too.
Wyllow hope you get your laptop sorted. My son has had a few colonoscopies and the bowel prep wasn’t too bad if I remember rightly so I hope it’s the same for you. I’m glad your son is going with you. Might try a yoga class at my gym, they’re very busy though. Pasta could have been better, but ok.

SweetpeaSue I'm so sorry. I'm back and staying (sod anyone who doesn't like me ). I'm going to the GP with DH tomorrow - I've told him I'll do the talking (he knows I will). I'm not leaving until he gets a referral for lung function tests and a different type of inhaler. I have been here and there - applying for jobs (care work, it's what I do best), took SIL to day centre - had to leave after 3 hours as she'd wet herself (despite wearing a pad), and it went onto the chair and there was a puddle on the floor . Got her cleaned up and sorted out when I got her home.

HVDY I'm going to be honest here. I have felt so v sad tonight. It's not the same without you. I still dont feel I can be the same with my posts after what's happened. But Im so pleased you're back, I feel so much better now. I hope your husband will get some help with his cough soon. Is it Drs tomorrow? I've never been confrontational in my life.

That woman will be collecting her vacuum and holdall of cleaning stuff from me tomorrow - I'm going to get my son to answer the door to her . I used to be quite confrontational, but I've actually calmed down a lot (apparently)

All us us were so sad you’d left. Can you come back…….of course you can. I can’t tell you how much better I feel tonight knowing you are back with us,
We don’t have to know each other in RL to care. We know each other in a different and special way and you’re right we are all friends. So pleased you’re back the others will be delighted. 😊

Hello - I am so very sorry for leaving. I was feeling quite fed-up about a few things, and stupidly thought I'd be better off staying off Gransnet. I was wrong. I've been reading all your various posts, and I realised that actually, I consider you all to be my friends. I know we don't know each other in real life, but we've all been there for each other, haven't we?

Whiff Thankyou for that info. Although I dont have CFS I have started taking Probiotics a while ago in case it helps.

Evening all its been an exhausting and black hole day, tho it went OK at ultrasound. Just too tired and stressed but coming out of it for a better evening - just got it together to ring a local computer young geek to try and help me find a recon, and he does home visits -2/3 weeks away, my beloved lap top is packing up on me. Prep for colonoscopy Sunday includes hopefully the gym for 2 days as I’ve missed it. (After that its the “loo-hovering” 24 hours”
Actually looking for ward to seeing son now its sorted, promised him a posh ready meal or take out.

Candy I too have craft skills but just can’t get around to them. Its very disheartening isn’t it…I think one just has to go with it for now and not have it as something to :I ought” about. Glad to hear about the Pilates - as for your question, it depends on the Pilates, but generally yoga is more “all the body” rather than “Core”, but I do yoga with core work in mind so important for strong backs and pelvic areas. there have been times `i gave up yoga awhile, or forced myself no enjoyment, but so glad I did in the long run.

Scaredycat it’s often hard to tell others how we feel. If it’s family we don’t want to worry them and if it’s others, do they really want to know? At least on here you know if someone asks how are you they really care about how you’re feeling.
Not been out with DH today as have been visiting a friend but he has had a better day so that’s good,

Pleased to hear you do Pilates class. I regret not keeping active myself. I used to be so pliable when I was younger. It never occurred to be that I could become this old crock when I got old. My knees are in bad shape which makes a lot of exercise not doable but the honest answer is I could do more if I tried.

Yes we did sleep well thanks. DHs cough was better so a quieter night.

Glad to see everyone. Just a quick one but this might mean something to some of you. It this was in the New Scientist

People with CFS/ME have less kind gut bacteria that produces inflammation fighting molecules suggesting possible target for new treatments. Syptoms ,persistent fatigue ,brain fog, pain and gastrointestinal complications. Disruptions in gut bacteria may be related to disease onset.

No idea if this of any help or something you already know.

Scaredycat Your sister managed to text--thats so wonderful. You must have been delighted when that happened. Hope its the start to more improvement. I too saw my son this afternoon along with my granddaughter. Hes the eldest who lives a couple of hrs drive away. I hope it wont be too long before you can see him again. It must be very hard when he lives so very far away.
EllieAnne I ofyen feel too low to motivate myself but its amazing how a walk can make you feel so much better or even a little better. The tiredness is usually a sign of having a v low mood but also extra stress. I think you said you had a test for anaemia not so long ago nut iron tabs can take a while to work. I too am sad about HVDY leaving.
Candy I dont do confrontation. Id rather run a mile from it. I can understand not feeling motivated for hobbies ect when we are depressed as its often takes so much energy to do basic things like getting a shower or making a snack. I hope you see a marked improvement with the meds soon. Thankyou for asking about my husband. Hes had a headache now for 4 dys so making sure he rests.
Whiff Words can be very powerful indeed. I wish I was as good as you are with them. They can undoubtedly have power to wound and hurt but also to nurture and soothe. A kind word costs nothing does it? I hope you're having a decent day painwise. Youve been so supportive here, thankyou.

Saw councillor this morning. It turned out to be exhausting but necessary. My son was arriving soon after and we went out for a snack and it was lovely to catch up with my granddaughter. So relieved that bowel pain didnt spoil things, its giving me reprieve. Concerned about husband though as blood pressure 170 this morning. I think he needs to tell GP tomorrow its not right.

Afternoon all, I hope all are ok, especially after recent events. Just catching up on responses to my post yesterday.
Scaredycat I’m so glad you got to see your son again and I hope you didn’t feel too upset when he left. You probably cope a lot better than I do as I think I’ve mentioned that I go through a lot of torment when mine leaves. Bit complicated and a long story but just to say I know a little of what you probably felt. Some good news about your sister at last. I hope she continues to do well.
Doodle yes, I’m taking things very slowly but at the same time impatient for them to start working. I can’t have it both ways though I know. I don’t really have any hobbies I can do at home. I would love to. I’ve had some knitting in the cupboard for months and months, can’t get motivated though unfortunately. I really need to though.
Wyllow I do a Pilates class as I decided I would like to keep as flexible as possible. I don’t really know what the difference is between Pilates and yoga? Forgive my ignorance. I’m not a good swimmer but it’s something I’m about to start to learn as I think that might be a good outlet too. Not a fan of the water but once I’m improved I’m hoping I feel better about it. I hope you manage to get your meds sorted pre colonoscopy and that your son can still accompany you.

Candy6 - I too am hoping we will go back to the safe kindly place we have always been. Confrontation is something I don’t deal with either - so hopefully we can just continue being kind and supportive to one another as before and to those who come here in the future..
EllieAnne- hope once you got out for your walk it helped lighten your mood- it usually works once you get started. It’s so difficult for you . It’s no wonder you feel tired when you are doing almost anything to not stay at home. You need to rest sometimes though especially after time with your grandchildren - it’s fun isn’t it but exhausting.
You are so right it feels so sad that that people have left.
We all care about you too .
Wyllow- “Fine” is such a stock answer when often you feel anything but. I never want to worry anyone though as they all have worries of their own,
You are so kind to think about our families as well as your own. That’s why it’s so nice to be on this thread- lovely people.

Some lovely news this morning. My sister managed to send me a text!!!!! It was the best surprise I could have wished for. This is the first time she has done it for so many weeks and a huge achievement. She has a long way to go but this is hopefully the first baby step.
