Toe lesion update .......!

Lesion was removed for biopsy on Monday and I am awaiting result. In the meantime I have a wound infection from that removal and they are worried it will get into the bone because I have osteoporosis and previous fractures so I am now on a strong antibiotic, which they have warned me will cause profuse gut-emptying - oh joy! She talked about needing toe amputated if they cannot get it under control! All from a tint back lesion, which will probably come back as benign!

Never rains and all that ......

I have a problem with my big toe so can empathise with you.

Gosh Luckygirl you don’t have it easy. Fingers crossed the antibiotics zap the infection and that the biopsy result is benign. Things don’t always turn out out as we fear.
Have plenty of probiotics afterwards, live yogurt and so on to restore the gut microbiome. thanks

Thank you - you are all very kind. I am glad they are getting on top of it as speedily as possible. Hopefully the infection will be zapped and the biopsy will be benign.

No change in the toe, but I know it takes a while for the antibiotics to work. Gut bearing up with lots of kefir supplied by DDs.
