Hi there!
I am Melissa.
I'm excited to be a part of this community and to connect with like-minded individuals. I have a passion for learning and growing, and I believe that spaces like this provide a great opportunity to share knowledge and experiences with others.
My professional background is in health and I am always looking for new information ways to expand my skills and knowledge. In my free time, I enjoy swimming and a bit of travelling.

I look forward to contributing to the conversations on this forum and learning from all of you. If there's anything specific you'd like to know about me, feel free to ask!

Hello and welcome Melissa may I suggest that you ask GNHQ to move your post to Chat or the Good morning forum? If you leave your post under health only a limited number of people will see it.
Hope you will enjoy GN. smile

Hi Melissa
Aldom, I think that op wanted this in Health as she wants contributions relating to that, as she says it’s her profession and chief interest.
I’m a bit confused myself to be honest!
What do you want in particular Melissa?

kittylester Fri 24-Feb-23 12:32:16

And, if that is your real name, maybe change it?

Aldom Fri 24-Feb-23 14:27:58

Hi Fanny, yes I realised that, but I still think OP would be better moving her post. Agree, Kitty regarding her name. smile

FannyCornforth Fri 24-Feb-23 14:29:14

I wonder if she will return?

Aldom Fri 24-Feb-23 14:31:45

Got a feeling she might not. I doubt GN is what she is looking for. confused

There is a healthcare educator (whatever that is) of the same name in the US, who looks much younger than the GN cohort. Perhaps it’s her, in which case there’s the time difference to consider. Or maybe purely a coincidence.

Aldom Fri 24-Feb-23 20:14:40

Re time difference, USA, you could very well be right GSM. I've just Googled the name and quite a few health professionals came up.

Maybe you could have considered this an entirely genuine post. Maybe by your attitude you might have scared this poster away.

Aldom Fri 24-Feb-23 22:22:46

I don't doubt that it is an entirely genuine post. That's why I suggested the post be moved to a forum where it would be more likely to be seen. We are also taking into account the possibility that the poster is in the US and that there is a time delay.

Does it really matter too much if the occasional message is in the wrong place, using what might be her real name etc etc. She will get the hang of it soon enough. The above messages appear very unwelcoming, just read through them all again ! Im sure they werent meant to be that way.

Welcome Melissa - you will love it here. Just wander around the site and you will find many Forums that will be of interest. It’s not wise to post, under your real name, but it’s entirely up to you .

I can see nothing unwelcoming about my post. It was meant to be helpful. smile

Yes, I think so because some posters might not bother to look at anything under Health.
Perhaps if it was under Chat they might.

Hello Melissa, hope you enjoy posting.

However, likeminded could be difficult, there are so many different views to be found on here! 🤔

I sincerely hope that Melissa doesn’t work in either education or healthcare if she can be so easily ‘scared away’ like a timid fawn!

Others might agree with me that we frequently have posters who announce their presence; get a rapturous welcome; and then are never heard of again.

I hope that isn’t the case here, but I wouldn’t be surprised…

Sounds like a promotional narrative from Linkedin.
